A right-angle prism is used to achieve 90° total internal reflection (TIR) by utilizing the hypotenuse surface. It is preferred over inclined mirrors in applications where acoustic or inertial loads are stringent, as it is easy to install and deforms much less than mirrors under external mechanical stress. As long as the angle of incidence does not exceed the limit for TIR from the roof surface, the right-angle prism can also function as a retroreflector, returning the beam to its original direction. - 45-45-90° prism - Usable as an internal or external reflector Various HR or AR coatings are also available. Custom options for coating, cutting, edging, and drilling are possible.

Free membership registrationIt is a polarizer that separates the S-polarized and P-polarized components of a specific wavelength. It has a high laser damage threshold and is used as a substitute for a Glan laser polarizing prism or a cube polarizing beam splitter in applications that utilize high-energy lasers. Due to its high laser damage threshold, it is designed for the most demanding applications using Nd host lasers operating in the range of 1040 to 1070 nm and femtosecond Ti:Sapphire or Yb:KGW/KYW lasers. It can be used as a fundamental wavelength polarizer and its harmonics for Yb:KGW/KYW or Ti:Sapphire lasers, or as a Q-switch hold-off polarizer within a cavity. The most efficient use of thin-film laser polarizers results in minimal loss at a Brewster angle of 56°±2°. - High transmittance - High extinction ratio - High laser damage threshold

Free membership registrationThe BBO crystal-based Pockels cell is available for a wide wavelength range from UV to over 2 μm. The low electro-optic coefficient of BBO crystals results in high operating voltages. The λ/4 applied voltage is proportional to the ratio of the electrode spacing to the crystal length, so as a result, devices with smaller apertures have lower λ/4 applied voltages, but even a 2.5 mm aperture device can have an applied voltage of around 4 kV at 1064 nm. A dual crystal design is adopted to reduce the required voltage and enable operation in the 1/2 wavelength mode with fast switching times. 【Features】 - Minimal piezoelectric ringing - Low absorption - Ceramic apertures available - Wide transmission range from 200 nm to 2000 nm - Compact size
