Consolidate the functions of a motion controller onto a single board! It operates as a motion controller simply by connecting the power supply (no PC required). The customer was controlling with a general-purpose NC, but found it difficult to express their uniqueness and was dissatisfied. There was a need to consolidate their precision grinding processing know-how into proprietary software (created with Visual Basic) and connect it directly to the NC, but they had given up due to limitations in the existing NC's capabilities. With the introduction of our product, they were able to operate and control with their own software, achieve basic performance equivalent to general-purpose NC, and realize unique functions that differentiate them from competitors. We would like to introduce a case study on the collaboration between XYθ plane parallel mechanism control and image processing. In the XYθ plane parallel mechanism, three-axis parallel control is essential. Conventional servo controllers lack the functionality for mechanism transformation and could not issue operation commands in the orthogonal system of XYθ. This challenge was addressed with the one-board motion controller "SLM4000." By incorporating dedicated mechanism transformation processing within this product, we achieved command execution in the orthogonal system (XYθ), allowing for advantages such as utilization as an automated machine through G-code and Techno language.
