We received a request from a food manufacturer and delivered seven units. After multiple meetings, we arranged the delivery for use in the staff changing room. Regarding the specifications, the lock is a cylinder lock with a one-way extraction feature, meaning the key cannot be removed unless it is locked, which enhances security. Additionally, the paint color is different for the body and the door. The door color features a lighter wood grain finish. Instead of using a wood grain sheet, we employed our unique painting technique to achieve the wood grain effect. Unlike sheet coverings, which can peel over time and are susceptible to moisture, our painted finish is highly durable and resistant to humidity, receiving great praise from customers. The wood grain paint is available in two colors: a darker dark brown and a lighter light brown, which can be chosen based on the impression of the room where it will be installed. Furthermore, customers can assign their own preferred numbers and order for the number tags attached to the doors.

At Jinbara Works, we generally use a sheet metal thickness of 0.8 mm when creating valuable item lockers. However, for map cases, we use 1.0 mm, and for sports lockers, we use 1.6 mm, adjusting the thickness based on the product being made. While using thicker sheets can increase strength, using excessively thick sheets can make the product heavier and less user-friendly. Additionally, the price of materials varies with thickness, which can also increase the cost of the products. Therefore, at Jinbara Works, when we receive an order from a customer, we inquire about the size and weight of the items to be stored, as well as the usage conditions, such as whether people will be sitting on it. This allows us to select the appropriate sheet thickness to create a "durable" locker that meets the intended use. In the past, for a single locker, we have used various sheet metals besides the 0.8 mm, including 0.6 mm for reinforcements, 0.7 mm for inner boxes, and 3.2 mm for cams, among others, even for standard products.

Our blanking operations mainly involve cutting out from standard-sized materials, which requires disassembly work. By efficiently arranging the materials in order according to thickness during the CAM nesting stage, this disassembly work can be streamlined, making it easier to transition to the next bending process. Considering time shifts, we have arranged multiple operators, which has made the flow of the process smoother. Moving forward, we hope to further improve and streamline the process, including reducing material waste.

If we can implement line painting by suspending it on a circulating painting line, productivity will increase. Our company often manufactures sheet metal enclosures for lockers and equipment, and we particularly have many opportunities to paint steel box-shaped items. We set the line speed to a slower pace to ensure a reliable film thickness and a finish without unevenness, and we are working to achieve this in product painting. We also put effort into the shape of the hangers and the way they are suspended, accumulating know-how in the process.
