In May 2010, it was recommended on a television program as a "next-generation soft water alternative that does not require salt."

Currently, many countries have banned the use of water softeners due to environmental pollution caused by brine discharge. The Resco MTF-NS Hard Water Conditioner was developed as an alternative to traditional water softeners in countries with strict wastewater regulations. The latest advancements in water treatment technology utilize scientific discoveries through Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC), which creates an effective scale prevention and removal method that is maintenance-free and does not require chemicals or wastewater. Various maintenance-free hard water treatment magnetic devices have been available in the past, but their effectiveness has not yet been officially proven. In contrast, the MTF-NS has demonstrated and received approval for 99.6% efficiency from the most stringent public institutions in Germany and the United States (DVGW/NSF). Based on TAC technology, the MTF-NS Hard Water Conditioner transforms calcium and magnesium into fine crystals without removing them, completely neutralizing the adverse effects caused by these hardness components and providing high-quality water containing minerals.
