[User Interview] Graduate School of Medicine, Nagoya University
User report being presented! Introducing "Extrahera" for the preprocessing of large sample volumes.
This document introduces a case study on the implementation of the automatic sample preparation system 'Extrahera' for the preprocessing of large sample volumes. At the Kameyama Laboratory of the Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Medicine, Nagoya University, research is currently being conducted primarily to evaluate human exposure to chemical substances through the development and practical application of highly sensitive measurement methods for chemicals in biological samples. We spoke with Associate Professor Jun Kameyama, who introduced 'Extrahera' to accommodate large sample measurements, such as those in large-scale epidemiological studies, about the background of the research and the reasons for introducing the equipment. 'Extrahera' is a compact sample preparation device that adopts pressurized liquid delivery and emphasizes "ease of use." It allows for easy method creation and various condition settings, enabling immediate execution of new sample preparations.
