Case 10: Hotel and Accommodation - Commercial Food Waste Processor Bio Clean

BioClean is active in various industries across the country.

The Asidoro® composting method, developed in collaboration with Tohoku University Graduate School of Engineering, decomposes kitchen waste stably over a long period. Therefore, the addition or replacement of decomposing microorganisms is unnecessary for an extended time. About 85% of the kitchen waste introduced into the BioClean is decomposed and disappears. The remaining approximately 15% can be used as high-quality organic compost. Research on the fertilizer effects, such as vibrant flower colors, vigorous vegetable growth, and sweeter fruits, has been conducted for many years at the Tohoku University Faculty of Agriculture. The Asidoro® composting method is characterized by its acidic progression. As a result, the volatilization of ammonia and other odor-causing substances is suppressed, reducing odors. Additionally, by suppressing ammonia volatilization, the generation of nitrous oxide, which is considered particularly potent among greenhouse gases, is also minimized.
