Thus, while the cost table serves as a powerful tool in cost planning and price negotiations, the variable factors may change due to technological advancements and fluctuations in market prices. If the calculation formula created once is used as is without updates, there is a risk of it becoming obsolete. At the company, there was concern that the retirement benefit amount required for payment would increase at an unexpectedly high pace as employees' years of service continued to grow under the retirement benefit calculation method of "basic salary at retirement × payment rate based on years of service × multiplier based on reason for retirement."
