[Technical Introduction] High-strength Aluminum Alloy for Metal 3D Printers
It demonstrates a high tensile strength of about 400 to 500 MPa without causing distortion!
At JAMPT, we are working on utilizing a new aluminum alloy powder for metal 3D printers in new applications through additive manufacturing, based on a patent implementation agreement. In the realm of aluminum alloy powders for metal 3D printing, the Al-10%Si-0.4%Mg alloy is widely known. The newly developed alloy with added Mn has been confirmed to exhibit high tensile strength of around 400-500 MPa without causing distortion. For the manufacturing process, a laser-based metal 3D printer is used, and there is no need to perform the conventional T6 treatment (solution treatment at 530°C ⇒ water quenching ⇒ aging). 【Chemical Composition (%)】 ■Si: 7 ■Mg: 0.7 ■Fe: ≦0.3 ■Mn: 1.5 ■Al: bal. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
