<Electric Furnace> BLF - Lifting High-Temperature Electric Furnace

The BLF series is a type of furnace known as a lift furnace or elevator furnace, as its bottom part can be raised and lowered.

Literally, the furnace bottom rises electrically, allowing samples to be placed inside the furnace located at the top. Therefore, there are many advantages in terms of operation. The furnace floor, which moves up and down like an elevator, enables rapid temperature changes to be applied to the samples compared to conventional chamber furnaces. Additionally, since the samples are surrounded by heating elements on all four sides within the furnace, heat is transmitted uniformly. Moreover, there are models with maximum operating temperatures of ultra-high temperatures of 1700°C and 1800°C, as well as a 3-liter model at 1200°C.

Polishing for metallographic examination is divided into several stages, with the particle size of the abrasives used becoming smaller as one progresses to the next stage. Generally, this process is divided into three stages: preliminary polishing, intermediate polishing, and final polishing. In metallographic polishing, the sample surface is polished to a mirror finish until scratches and deformations are eliminated, allowing the fine structural organization of the metal material to be revealed. The preparation of metal microstructure samples usually begins with the cutting (sectioning) of the samples. In most cases, the parts or solids to be inspected are too large for the grinding and polishing required for metallographic examination under laboratory conditions, so they must be cut beforehand. HTRV-A – High-Temperature Vertical Split-Type Tube Furnace

The split-type tubular furnace, HTRV-A model, can achieve a maximum temperature of 1700°C for heat treatment when used in a vertical or horizontal position.

The split-type heating module makes it easy to mount the working tube and the reaction vessel with a fixed end flange. Due to its separable structure, it can also enhance the cooling rate of the samples. The control thermocouple is mounted in the center of the heating area. Cooling grooves are incorporated into the housing to promote convective cooling of the external casing. The split furnace body consists of high-grade insulation plates and vertically installed molybdenum disilicide heating elements. When the furnace body is opened, a safety switch activates, cutting off the power to the heating elements, ensuring the safety of the operator. To allow for installation on self-owned equipment, it is standard without a stand. It can be made self-supporting with an optional L-shaped stand.

FST/FZS - General-purpose horizontal/vertical tube furnace

TS Split Tube Furnace

Carbolite Gero's new TS series split tube furnace.

The main body of the TS furnace is divided into two parts and is secured with hinges at the rear. A gas damper at the end provides smooth opening and closing operations. By allowing the furnace to be split, it becomes easier to equip it with an end flange that makes insertion into undivided furnaces difficult when using containers such as reactors, and it also simplifies the replacement of working tubes. The TS series is designed with flexibility in mind. By using slide-in accessory working tubes and adapters, a single furnace can accommodate tubes of various diameters, and the working tube itself can be easily replaced to meet the physical or chemical requirements of the process. An optional working tube package allows users to use the TS for heat treatment under vacuum or modified atmospheres.

AZ - 8 Zone Control Tube Furnace

AZ is an excellent 8-zone tube furnace for controlling temperature profiles.

The 8 zones, with thick insulation and high-symmetry heating elements built into the entire furnace, achieve temperature uniformity within ± 5°C. The advantage of individually controlling the 8 zones is that it is important for extending the thermal length within the furnace. Additionally, the temperature profile can be precisely and freely controlled by the user, either rising linearly or peaking. The optimal application for AZ is, for example, chemical vapor deposition. It can create a temperature gradient where precursor materials are evaporated in the high-temperature end zone and vapor is condensed onto the substrate in the low-temperature end zone. All zones are controlled and monitored by individual thermocouples.

HTRV Universal High-Temperature Vertical Tube Furnace

HTRV is a high-temperature tube furnace designed for vertical use, with a maximum temperature of 1800°C.

High-grade insulation made of fiber plates has a low thermal conductivity, achieving reduced energy consumption and improved heating rates. The insulation material and the heating element made of molybdenum disilicide are built into a rectangular housing. The heating element is installed vertically and is easy to replace. HTRH Universal High-Temperature Horizontal Tube Furnace

The Carbolite Gero high-temperature tube furnace HTRH can be used horizontally at a maximum temperature of 1800°C.

High-quality insulation materials with low thermal conductivity enable low energy consumption and rapid heating. The insulation material and molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heater element are housed in a rectangular casing. The heater element is suspended vertically, making it easy to replace. At high temperatures and in the presence of oxygen, MoSi2 forms an oxide layer (SiO2) that protects the heater element from thermal and chemical corrosion. The 3-zone tube furnace (HTRH-3) achieves higher uniformity compared to single-zone products. These models are equipped with dedicated thermocouples and temperature controllers for each heating zone, making them particularly convenient for preheating gases necessary for reactions within the system. The HTRH does not come with a working tube built-in. The working tube can be selected as an additional accessory. The length of the working tube varies depending on the application and whether a modified atmosphere or vacuum is used.
