We will introduce a case study of a quality improvement proposal that successfully achieved export packaging of products without scratches or dirt.

We would like to introduce examples of packaging and packing improvements for imported products from Southeast Asia. The customer's request was, "The darts stand gets damaged during domestic transportation, which reduces its value as a product when it arrives in the country, so we want to address this issue." As the products inside the box were only secured with tape, we created new interior materials to prevent the products from moving. Additionally, since the products need to withstand stacking and will be delivered domestically via courier, we considered the size and shape of the cardboard box to meet these requirements. [Case Study of Packaging Design Improvement] Industrial Product Shipping Box - Pad Improvement

It can withstand temperatures up to 130 degrees! Here we introduce a case that achieved three times the loading efficiency through a cushioning design.

Our company provides examples of improvement proposals for existing transportation packaging and packing methods. In this case, the customer was seeking improvements in packing and packaging methods to enhance loading efficiency. Therefore, we selected HD-80 as the material. Considering workability, it can be stored by simply laying one sheet down, and it allows for packaging without contact between the products. With our proposal, we were able to improve the efficiency by approximately three times. We would like to introduce a case study on improving the loading efficiency of automotive parts returnable containers. To increase the storage rate beyond appearances, we used a 3D camera to capture images of the products. Based on that data, we examined packaging methods that would enhance loading efficiency, considering factors such as orientation and stacking methods. As a result of our proposal, we achieved a stable loading method where the products do not come into contact with each other, allowing for an increase from the previously thought limit of 5 units to 6 units based on our suggestions. The transportation packaging material introduced this time is a product used for transporting sheet metal parts for precision equipment. We have been asked to propose efficiency improvements over conventional transportation packaging methods, and we would like to present a case study of our proposal. In the case of sheet metal parts, there are often specifications to ensure that the surface is free from scratches for aesthetic reasons. Therefore, we proposed a method of stacking the parts in a windmill arrangement with cushioning materials inserted, so that the parts do not touch each other and get scratched. As a result, we successfully accommodated four pieces in one box, which has improved transportation efficiency by up to twice compared to conventional products. We would like to introduce a case where we proposed improvements in quality and a 75% reduction in space within the factory by standardizing and unifying the transport carts for rack covers. In this instance, we were consulted about the occurrence of product defects during the packaging process for large thin sheet metal products, as well as the issue of occupying unnecessary space in the factory due to the diverse lineup of product sizes, which required dedicated boxes for flat placement each time. In response, we designed and proposed a unified vertical cart for racks of different sizes, along with size-different Miniform laminated products to secure the covers. To address this, we utilized 3D simulation drawings to create pads that optimize both loading efficiency and workability, ensuring that the products do not interfere with each other. Additionally, there are concerns when packaging the workpieces, as they have a surface layer and cannot be laid down during packaging. There is also a part of the surface layer on the bottom, which raises the issue of how to secure the contents inside the reusable box. Therefore, this time, we have designed a specification that secures the workpieces inside the box by using a hard material. Since the products have a left and right orientation, they are generally designated as L for left and R for right, but this time we have created a specification that can be used interchangeably for both sides. We would like to introduce a proposal case for conductive partition boards used in automotive parts. The packaging material is intended for transporting industrial products, and when we received a request from the customer, there were specifications for a designated box and a desired quantity (30 pieces). In our proposal, we made it possible to package the desired quantity in one layer (3×10), and for the strict dimensions at both ends, we designed it in a U-shape integrated with the bottom plate. Additionally, since the products have protrusions such as claws, there was initially a discussion about whether to orient those parts upwards. However, due to the desired quantity, it was difficult to package in the designated box considering dimensions and other factors. To increase the storage rate beyond appearances, we used a 3D camera to photograph the products and examined packaging methods that would enhance loading efficiency based on that data, considering aspects such as orientation and stacking methods. As a result of our final proposal, we achieved a stable loading method where the products do not come into contact with each other, increasing the capacity from what the customer previously thought was limited to 5 units to 6 units due to our proposal.
