We would like to introduce a case where a system designed with a focus on improving the performance of cooling water and continuous availability was implemented at a data center in the United States. A major data center handling millions of retail transactions had to upgrade its cooling system during the shopping season, necessitating a temporary temperature control system. Our engineers teamed up with cooling tower specialists to design a 1,600-ton temporary cooling system to meet the customer's needs and increased load. During a two-week period, our temporary cooling system maintained the appropriate temperature for the data center. [Case Summary] ■ Challenge: Continue operating the data center in optimal condition during peak shopping season ■ Solution: Chillers and cooling towers designed for maximum availability ■ Result: Facility upgrade, zero downtime, numerous satisfied customers *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where the flow rate returned to winter levels at an ammonia plant in the southeastern United States, resulting in an improvement in ammonia production to 38 tons per day. The company attempted to restore the flow rate by cooling the air entering the compressor, but the reliability of the cooling system was poor, and it could not maintain the necessary air flow rate. As a solution, a two-stage system was devised to cool the outside air, and an air conditioning unit was designed to cool the outside air within the filter housing. The two-stage system increased the air flow rate to winter levels, approximately 48,000-50,000 pounds per hour, even when the temperature rose, achieving an air flow rate of about 5,550-7,500 pounds per hour. [Challenges] - The density of outside air in summer is low, leading to a decrease in flow rate and a reduction in ammonia production. - The reliability of the cooling system was poor, and it could not maintain the necessary air flow rate. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a successful case of testing a crewed flight solid rocket motor, made possible by the introduction of a specially designed adaptable air cooling system for Orbital ATK. The cooling motor test was a crucial test to prove that the motor could operate at low temperatures, but it was necessary to keep the motor and propellant at 40°F (5°C). Maintaining such low temperatures in the testing facility in Utah, where temperatures exceed 100°F (38°C), was extremely challenging. Our company designed an air cooling system equipped with a chiller unit that has three double-stacked low-temperature air handlers with defrost capabilities. Just before the live test, we removed the equipment from the building and operated a custom air duct system to cool the DM-2 joint until one minute before the rocket launch. [Challenges] - It was necessary to keep the motor and propellant at 40°F (5°C). - An integrated electric defrosting device was required. - It was essential to maintain the air at the appropriate temperature. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where Ashcourt Group implemented a modular mobile heater and a 30kVA generator. At the company's construction site, winter weather caused damage to the interiors, leading to delays and difficulties for the workers. To address this, they installed equipment that combined a 125kW heater with ducts connected to a 30kVA generator. To minimize the installation area, it was connected to a 1,000-liter fuel tank. As a result, they were able to overcome the adverse winter weather and adhere to the project schedule. [Challenges] - There were delays in the construction schedule for four student dormitories. - Winter weather caused damage to the interiors. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided a compact and powerful mobile generator along with complete technical support to a major construction company in the United States. The company needed to rapidly supply power to high-rise buildings in densely populated urban areas. By avoiding downtime of 6 to 8 weeks, construction was able to start immediately. By providing reliable power similar to grid electricity with a ready-to-go package, they avoided costly delays and significantly reduced costs. [Challenges] - There was a need for adequate electrical capacity. - They had to prepare compact and smart equipment that could operate automatically. - Sufficient power needed to be supplied to a 20-story building. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study that made it possible to conduct performance testing of various scenarios in a hyperscale data center for global enterprises at the Collocation Data Center. In the company's facility, thorough testing and commissioning were essential to ensure that various infrastructures of the data center, such as power and cooling systems, were functioning without issues and to confirm the complete operational capability and fault tolerance of the data center. Aggreko conducted a site survey and determined that a combination of 200kW load devices, LV cables, and connectors was optimal for the customer's data hall. A total of 32 load devices, amounting to 4.8MW, were prepared to simulate the thermal load on the data center's power, cooling, and infrastructure. As a result, it was guaranteed that the system would operate appropriately under various scenarios and meet the stringent industry standards and regulations regarding uptime and energy efficiency. [Case Summary] ■ 200kW Load Devices: 32x ■ LV Cable Length: 11.2km ■ Data Hall Capacity: 4.8MW *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where we provided an advanced comprehensive testing solution that enables digital control and synchronization to colocation service providers based in Asia. The company needed to conduct a Level 5 System Integration Test (IST) as part of the commissioning process to validate the power and cooling infrastructure. Through a digitized load testing solution, we provided detailed test data and reports to corporate clients investigating the resilience of their facilities. This also led to obtaining Tier III certification from the global data center certification body, the Uptime Institute. [Challenges] - There was a need to conduct a Level 5 System Integration Test as part of the commissioning process to validate the power and cooling infrastructure. - There was a possibility that operations within the data center could become congested, leading to a complex and inefficient process. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*
