[Case Study] Utilizing 3D Printers to Transform Complex Internal Structures into Final Products

Using a 3D printer for parts with complex internal structures of small formula cars to create the final product.

We will introduce a case where the fundamental lightweighting and performance improvement of intake components mounted on small formula cars were achieved, along with the manufacturing technology and reliability to realize this. Complex hollow shapes were integrally molded without the use of jigs and utilized as final products. We spoke with TUAT Formula from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, who participates in the "Student Formula Japan Competition" every year. ■Usage Examples We are utilizing 3D CAD data for a wide range of applications, including extrusion molding, casting, machining, and as alternative methods for injection molding, molds, and formwork, as well as for molding small parts of IoT products and finished products.

Gas injection molding (gas-assisted molding)

Thorough quality control through in-house inspections and checks. We achieve high quality through our integrated in-house processes.

At Ogino Gosei Co., Ltd., we offer "Gas Injection Molding (Gas Assist Molding)." This technology involves injecting nitrogen gas instead of maintaining high pressure after resin filling in conventional injection molding, creating a mechanism that retains pressure (low pressure) from inside the product. This molding method significantly reduces the occurrence of defects such as sink marks, warping, and burrs, which are common issues in traditional molding. Our company has adopted Kaken Genex products and is equipped to utilize this technology. It is employed in molding processes that require high precision, such as automotive parts, medical devices, housing equipment, office automation equipment, home appliances, and gaming machines. 【Features】 ■ Significantly reduces the occurrence of sink marks, warping, and burrs. ■ Used in molding processes that require high precision for automotive parts, medical devices, housing equipment, office automation equipment, home appliances, and gaming machines. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
