Ceramic plating is a special coating that excels in wear resistance! It improves hardness from around Hv400 to Hv900!

We would like to introduce a case where a sealer used in the sealing section of packaging machinery was required to ensure non-stick properties while also demanding high wear resistance and durability. Although a non-stick PTFE coating was used, its hardness was only around Hv400, which posed durability issues. Therefore, we adopted our "Ceramic Coating." This increased the hardness to Hv900, enhancing wear resistance. Additionally, the non-stick performance was secured by reducing the contact area through the action of fine boron nitride particles. Chrome plating has a beautiful shiny silver appearance and is a highly durable coating, with many chrome-plated products around us. Chrome plating is used in a wide variety of items, including faucets, accessories, and parts for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles—there are countless examples. However, chrome plating can be broadly divided into two categories: "decorative chrome plating" and "industrial chrome plating." The main purpose of decorative chrome plating is aesthetic appeal and corrosion resistance, typically applied at a thickness of about 0.1 to 0.5 μm. It is usually applied over a base layer of nickel plating or copper-nickel plating. Most of the chrome plating we encounter in our daily lives falls into this decorative category. On the other hand, the purpose of industrial chrome plating, in addition to corrosion resistance, includes wear resistance and scratch resistance, with thicknesses ranging from about 10 μm to as much as 200 μm. Utilizing the hardness and smoothness of chrome plating, it is widely used in sliding and moving parts such as cylinders, pistons, molds, rolls, and machine components.
