What are thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins?

Make effective use of limited resources! Classify into two types with different properties.

Plastics can be broadly classified into two types based on their properties: thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins. Thermoplastic resins liquefy upon heating without undergoing a chemical reaction and solidify upon cooling, forming linear chain polymers. In other words, thermoplastic resins become liquid at their glass transition temperature or melting point, and solidify again when below that temperature, allowing them to transition between liquid and solid states. A common analogy is that of cookies and chocolate: thermosetting resins are like cookies; once baked, they cannot be melted again in the oven, and while they may burn at high temperatures, they do not liquefy. Polyamide resin "Fine Resin"

Polyamide resin expected to have a wide range of applications.

"Fine Resin" is a polyamide resin that has been modified to be alcohol-soluble by introducing methoxymethyl groups into some of the amide nitrogen atoms of linear nylon resin using our unique technology. By introducing methoxymethyl groups into the amide groups of nylon resin, the hydrogen bonding of the amide groups is reduced, leading to a decrease in the crystallinity of nylon. This increases solubility in solvents and results in a soft, rubber-elastic resin. It is also referred to as "Type 8 Nylon" because it has two additional carbon atoms compared to 6-Nylon. [Resin Nazenaze Series] Regarding Yellowing in Dark Places

The color changes in the dark! Here’s an introduction to why it takes on a yellowish hue even though it’s unopened.

Dark storage yellowing refers to the discoloration that occurs when using ABS that has been stored unopened for a long time. When comparing ABS colored products produced immediately after manufacturing with those that have been stored unopened for two years, the white ones showed a yellowish discoloration after two years. This phenomenon was also observed in other colored products, such as light blue. In relation to this phenomenon, we suggest that colored materials be used as soon as possible and that long-term storage be avoided. **Causes of Dark Storage Yellowing** - The B (butadiene rubber) in ABS deteriorates and discolors to yellow over time. - Additives contained in ABS (antioxidants, flame retardants) can cause the material to undergo chemical changes and yellow when stored in the dark for extended periods. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
