Introduction to the web seminar on the new product display color gamut evaluation system, GR-55. - Free evaluation software available for loan (first come, first served for one company) The Gamut Rings method, proposed by Dr. Masaoka from NHK, has been put into practical use as a means to measure the color reproduction range of displays. This is a completely new and groundbreaking technique that visualizes a three-dimensional color gamut, including brightness that could not be expressed conventionally, in two dimensions. It has been standardized internationally by organizations such as IEC, ICDM, and CIE. In this presentation, we will explain the basic principles of the Gamut Rings method and the GR-55 product, as well as introduce the immediate conversion to the xy chromaticity diagram, xyY color space, and L*a*b* color space that have been used traditionally. This technology allows for accurate, easy, and understandable color evaluation of displays, and will serve as a tool for everyone involved in the design and development of displays and materials in the future. This seminar is packed with valuable information.
