Electronic Ceramics (Thin film integrated circuit components & Substrates)

A thin film integrated circuit pattern will be formed on a ceramic substrate.

By using alumina with a purity of 99.9%, we provide fine circuit patterns (line/space=30um/30um) that enable operation in the 30GHz band required for next-generation wireless communication systems. 【Thin Film Integrated Circuits】 We pattern integrated circuits on various ceramic substrates. ●Side patterns (over 0.3t), and AuSn solder patterns is possible. ● Simultaneous mounting of conductors, thin film resistors, and thin film inductors is possible. ● The combination of our unique 99.9% alumina substrate and fine patterns allows for the formation of circuits with low dielectric loss and low noise in high-frequency bands. ● For substrate materials, we also accommodate aluminum nitride (ALN) substrates, quartz substrates, and more. 【High-Quality Alumina Substrates】 ● Dense ● The three-point bending strength is 660MPa, which is significantly higher than conventional products (about twice as much). ● Excellent electrical properties with low dielectric loss in high-frequency bands.

[Achievements Introduction] Benefits of Ceramic Molds

We will introduce the achievements of ceramicizing molds and their benefits.

Ceramics have excellent wear resistance compared to metals and are lightweight materials. Among them, silicon nitride ceramics are used in various industrial equipment due to their resistance to cracking and high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Our silicon nitride products include the standard type SNP02 and the high-strength type SNP03. We have summarized the benefits of converting molds to ceramics. For more details, please refer to “【Case Studies】Benefits of Mold Ceramics.”

3D processing ceramic products

The use of ceramics has expanded due to high-precision processing of complex shapes and curved surfaces using 5-axis machining.

The introduction of a 5-axis machining machine, which adds the C-axis (table rotation) and A-axis (table tilt axis) to the X, Y, and Z axes, has made it possible to achieve high-precision machining of complex shapes and curved surfaces, thereby expanding the applications of ceramics. Cost reduction is also expected due to the reduction in setup time.

【Introduction of New Products】Engineering Ceramics

[New Products] High Toughness SiN, High Purity SiC, Carbon-Dispersed SiC

1. A new material that significantly improves the brittleness of high-toughness silicon nitride "SNP04" ceramics and increases fracture toughness by 1.3 times. It achieves a thermal conductivity that is 2.4 times higher than conventional materials. 2. High-purity silicon carbide "SCP05" successfully reduces the metallic impurities contained in conventional silicon carbide. 3. Carbon-dispersed silicon carbide "P2G" achieves excellent sliding properties by uniformly dispersing carbon within the silicon carbide matrix. It greatly contributes to the reduction of wear in sliding components.

[New Product] Zirconia Reinforced Alumina Halox Z

"Halox-Z," a zirconia-reinforced alumina with higher bending strength than alumina and higher thermal conductivity than zirconia, has been added to our lineup.

Alumina, the most popular fine ceramic, has been reinforced with zirconia, which is a higher strength ceramic. "Halox-Z" is highly tough and has excellent wear resistance, making it suitable for lining wear parts of equipment. Due to its higher thermal conductivity compared to zirconia, it has been put to practical use as lining for grinders. For more details, please download and refer to the catalog.
