Since we do not have color difference meters or gloss meters, the evaluation is based on visual inspection rather than numerical values. This is an introduction to a case where the removal of a black discoloration layer was performed. We received an inquiry from another barrel polishing company stating, "We had barrel polishing done, and while the burrs were removed, the surface of the item was discolored black compared to before the polishing. We cannot deliver it to the customer in this condition, so is there any way to restore the material's color?" We performed barrel polishing at our company to remove the black discoloration layer and returned it to the original material color. Depending on the type and amount of oil on the raw material before barrel polishing, as well as the polishing conditions, dirt can sometimes adhere to the surface.
