Water-soluble phenolic resin "WSR Series"

We have developed various anionic water-soluble resins utilizing the characteristics of dihydroxy diphenyl sulfone (DHDPS)!

Our flagship product, "4,4’-Dihydroxy diphenyl sulfone (DHDPS)," has an electron-withdrawing sulfonyl group at its center, which gives the hydroxyl groups at both ends a much stronger hydrogen bonding capability compared to ordinary compounds like phenol, cresol, and tannic acid. Focusing on the characteristics of "DHDPS," we have developed various anionic water-soluble resins by copolymerizing it with sulfonic acid compounds. We expect it to be applied in many uses as an anionic surface treatment agent with excellent adhesion to substrates. 【Product Lineup (Partial)】 ■DHDPS/Phenolsulfonic acid resin (Mass-produced) ■Phenolsulfonic acid resin-R (Lab sample) ■Phenolsulfonic acid resin-N (Lab sample) ■DHDPS resin (Lab sample) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Introduction to the Business Division (Fine Materials Division)

Manufacturing and sales of raw materials for cutting-edge optical and semiconductor products. We are developing a contract processing business specialized in non-stick surface treatment.

In the Fine Materials Division, we are developing fluorine derivatives with excellent optical properties and heat resistance based on the coal chemical technology we have cultivated over many years, for use in camera lenses for smartphones and semiconductor-related materials. Additionally, we propose solutions to the challenges of metal surfaces in industrial equipment used under harsh conditions, and we provide contract processing for surface treatments that demonstrate outstanding effectiveness in non-stick and wear-resistant components. 【Business Overview】 ■ Fine Materials - We develop and manufacture various resins, including thermoplastic, thermosetting, and photo-curable resins, centered around fluorine derivatives with distinctive structures. Our products are particularly excellent in optical properties and heat resistance, contributing to the advancement of high-performance materials for smartphone camera lenses, liquid crystal display components, and semiconductor-related materials. - We also manufacture and sell compatibilizers that allow normally difficult-to-mix resins like PE and PET to blend, as well as flow enhancers for high-viscosity resins. ■ Surface Treatment Processing - We conduct contract processing focused on non-stick properties for metal surfaces and resin materials. Our coatings have a proven track record in various fields, including paper manufacturing, food, chemical industry, textiles, automotive, and equipment. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Biomass-based biodegradable resin with antibacterial and antiviral properties.

The raw material is non-edible biomass cellulose! Here is an introduction to the biomass-based biodegradable resin developed by our company.

Our company has developed a biomass-based biodegradable resin with antibacterial and antiviral properties to replace the materials used in general resin products. Many biodegradable resins are made from petroleum or edible biomass resources such as corn, sugarcane, grains, and tubers, raising concerns about competition with human food. However, our biodegradable resin material is made from cellulose, a non-edible biomass, making it a preferable material from the perspective of raw materials. We have devised ways to impart antibacterial and antiviral properties to such materials. [Features] - Replaces the materials used in general resin products with biomass-based biodegradable resins - Possesses antibacterial and antiviral properties - Made from cellulose, a non-edible biomass *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Non-edible biomass-derived cellulose-based biodegradable resin

Highly considerate of both the environment and the economy! Developing biodegradable cellulose-based resins with minimal complex chemical reactions.

There is research and development attempting to create cellulose-based resins by breaking down cellulose with acids or enzymes and converting it into sugars. However, due to the labor-intensive processes involved in the decomposition and pre-treatment stages, there are issues with production costs for practical application. From this perspective, our company is developing biodegradable cellulose-based resins while minimizing complex chemical reactions. As a result, the cost becomes lower during mass production, making it a biodegradable resin material that is considerate of both the environment and the economy. Furthermore, our company already has technology for compounding cellulose nanofibers, which are also plant-derived, with resins. By applying this technology to the material, we can also create a composite material of biodegradable cellulose-based resin and cellulose nanofibers. 【Features】 ■ Minimize complex chemical reactions ■ Lower costs during mass production ■ Highly considerate of both the environment and the economy ■ Composite material of biodegradable cellulose-based resin and cellulose nanofibers is also available ・Improvement in mechanical strength confirmed through cellulose nanofiber compounding *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

DSR Shell Chair FRP Resin [Matte Black]

Reproduced furniture focused on quality and price from E-comfort.

The Shell Chair is one of the works submitted to the "Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition," co-hosted by a furniture nonprofit organization as part of MoMA's efforts to differentiate itself from other museums by collecting modern design products in 1948. It achieved an impressive second place. At that time, Charles Eames was striving to realize a new era of design that could be mass-produced using molded plywood, but the production with molded plywood proved to be extremely difficult. Eames did not give up on commercialization and successfully produced the chair using FRP, a new material at the time. The chair, produced by layering fiberglass wool with adhesives using a mold and finally shaping the exterior, was released to the world as an innovative mass-produced item. The E-comfort Shell Chair is available in six colors for the seat: black, white, gray, red, pale blue, and pale green, with options for the legs being wood legs or a rod base. This is the side shell chair with a rod base. *The product is a reproduction imported and sold by E-comfort.

Injection molding SPS engineering plastics for automotive parts and medical devices.

Excellent hydrolysis resistance and chemical resistance! Can be used for connectors and engine control components.

HEVs require handling high currents and high voltages due to the use of high-output motors. Therefore, materials for connectors and terminals must have heat resistance and electrical reliability (high dielectric strength and tracking resistance). "SPS (engineering plastic)" has excellent electrical properties because it does not have polar groups, making it suitable for electrical and electronic components used in HEVs. 【Features】 ■ Low specific gravity (lower than other engineering plastics) ■ Heat resistance (high load deflection temperature 250°C, low load deflection temperature 268°C) ■ Hydrolysis resistance ■ Chemical resistance (acid resistance, alkali resistance, oil resistance, aliphatic solvent resistance) ■ Electrical properties (extremely low dielectric loss, good tracking resistance) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Basic knowledge of rigid polyurethane: Cyclopentane, water resistance (polyether type)

Explanation of the differences between polyether-based and polyester-based materials! Introduction to the basics of rigid polyurethane.

I will introduce the differences between polyether-based and polyester-based materials. The molecular structures of polyester-based urethane and polyether-based urethane are different. Polyether-based urethane contains -O- within its bonding molecules, and in principle, this molecular structure is not affected by H2O (water). In other words, it is a material that is strong against water. An example of this is its use in bathtub covers. On the other hand, polyester-based urethane contains -COO- within its bonding molecules, and this molecular structure tends to react with H2O (water) and decompose into -COOH (acid) and -OH (alcohol). Therefore, polyester-based urethane is generally said to have inferior water resistance. *There are also polyester-based materials with high water resistance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
