Antibiotic-resistant bacteria detection reagent "Boric acid solution"

Compare the inhibition zones! Determine the production of beta-lactamases and carbapenemases.

We would like to introduce our resistant bacteria detection reagent, "Boron Acid Solution." Using disks for susceptibility testing, we compare the inhibition zones obtained from disks with and without the addition of this product to determine the production of beta-lactamase and carbapenemase. After culturing at 35°C overnight (16 to 18 hours), if an expansion of the inhibition zone diameter (generally 5mm or more) is observed due to the addition of boron acid, it is judged as positive. 【Product Lineup】 ■ SG-BA50-5 (50μL: 5 pieces) ■ SG-BA50-10 (50μL: 10 pieces) ■ SG-BA50-20PB (50μL: 20 pieces) ■ SG-BA50-50PB (50μL: 50 pieces) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Realization of acceleration, high sensitivity, and simplification in the analysis of N-type glycan characteristics.

Innovative technology for the characterization of glycoproteins.

■Extraction of glycans from glycoproteins, labeling, and purification can be completed in just three steps in 30 minutes. This dramatically improves the throughput of glycan analysis. ■Thanks to a significant increase in sensitivity, reliable glycan analysis is possible even with trace amounts of glycoproteins. Glycan identification is achievable from as little as 0.1 μg of glycoprotein. ■By combining a fluorescence detector with MS, both quantification and mass information of trace glycans can be obtained simultaneously in a single analysis. This enables reliable and rapid glycan analysis. ■The GlycoWorks HILIC μElution plate allows for easy and rapid purification. No more drying down is necessary. ■Everything needed for glycan extraction, labeling, and purification is packaged together. You can start preparing glycans right away.

Derivatization for GC/MS analysis

Proposals tailored to the purpose of analysis and the target object! GC/MS analysis of derivatized samples.

This document introduces a pretreatment method to enable the analysis of substances that are difficult to analyze using GC/MS. The pretreatment that converts difficult-to-analyze substances into analyzable substances is called "derivatization." Methods such as esterification, acylation, and silylation are used selectively according to the type and characteristics of the difficult-to-analyze substances. GC/MS measurements were conducted on citric acid solutions and citric acid solutions after esterification. It was found that citric acid, being a carboxylic acid, could not be effectively detected without derivatization, but after esterification, trimethyl citrate was detected, confirming the presence of citric acid. By performing appropriate derivatization, more accurate analysis becomes possible. [Analyzable Substances] ■ High volatility ■ High thermal stability ■ Low polarity *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Protein solubilization reagent MPEX PTS Reagents

Optimal solubilization reagents for analyzing membrane proteins using mass spectrometry (MS).

This is a solubilization reagent kit designed for the easy analysis of membrane proteins using mass spectrometry. Membrane proteins are said to be targets for many pharmaceuticals and are expected to be one of the protein groups that will see increasing research in the future. However, in analyses using mass spectrometry, it has been technically and temporally challenging to easily analyze them due to issues such as the removal of solubilizing agents and the inactivation of digestive enzymes. By using this product, which has a high solubilization capacity, membrane proteins can be easily solubilized without the need to consider different types of solubilizing agents. Even difficult-to-solubilize membrane-spanning proteins can be easily solubilized, and trypsin digestion can be performed in the presence of MPEX reagents. MPEX reagents can remove surfactants based on the principle of liquid-liquid extraction. It is possible to extract membrane proteins from membrane fractions of cell lysates, such as those from cultured cells, and analyze them using mass spectrometry. Features: - Higher solubilization capacity compared to Triton and Tween. - Does not inhibit the activity of digestive enzymes such as trypsin. - Easy removal method (liquid-liquid extraction).

[Case Study] On the Use of PNA in Amplicon Sample Preparation

It is possible to estimate higher resolution feed organisms! Introduction of next-generation sequencing analysis examples *Analysis case collection is being distributed.

In our company, when preparing amplicon samples aimed at analyzing the microbial community structure present in plant leaves, we add PNA to suppress amplification from plant mitochondrial and chloroplast origins, resulting in favorable outcomes. Without the addition of PNA, approximately 90% of the acquired data consists of amplification products derived from the host. By adding PNA, we can reduce this to about 10%, allowing for a higher resolution estimation of the target organisms. [Results of condition testing with 4 sample units] ■ Ct1-Ct4: No PNA added ■ Mt1-Mt4: PNA added for mitochondrial blocking ■ Pl1-Pl4: PNA added for chloroplast blocking ■ PM1-PM4: PNA added for both mitochondrial and chloroplast blocking *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We will introduce community structure analysis using the selective membrane permeable dye EMA (in-house data). For environmental samples dominated by E. coli, we prepared samples that were heat-treated and sterilized, as well as untreated samples, and performed EMA treatment. Subsequently, DNA extraction was conducted for each sample, followed by 16S rRNA gene amplicon analysis. As a result, in the community structure analysis, E. coli, which had become dominant, was hardly detected in the heat-treated samples due to its death. Additionally, in the related links, we also introduce community structure analysis using reverse transcription cDNA from RNA (in-house data), so please take a look. 【Workflow】 ■ Prepare environmental samples (heat-treated, untreated) ■ EMA treatment ■ Light irradiation ■ DNA extraction ■ Creation of adapter library via EMA-PCR *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
