Conversely, the intake sides at the front of the server racks are also positioned to face each other, creating a pathway (hereinafter referred to as the cold aisle) that primarily introduces cool air from the floor into the server racks. This arrangement allows for efficient exhaust. However, at the top of the server racks, there is a risk of drawing in high-temperature exhaust from the equipment (short-circuiting), so we considered countermeasures and conducted a comparison based on the presence or absence of a partition (hereinafter referred to as aisle capping) at the top of the cold aisle.
