CFRTP molded products (development products)

Molding with complex shapes is also possible! We conduct rigidity and strength calculations using composite materials based on the customer's design drawings and desired machine characteristics.

CFRTP refers to fiber-reinforced plastic that uses CF (carbon fiber) as a reinforcing agent and employs thermoplastic resin instead of thermosetting resin as the matrix resin. Compared to conventional thermosetting resin CFRP, it significantly shortens the molding cycle and enables joining through thermal fusion, thereby achieving improved productivity and lower costs. Additionally, it excels in impact resistance and fatigue characteristics, and can also provide flame retardancy and heat resistance depending on the type of resin used. 【Characteristics of Thermoplastic Resin】 ■ Becomes soft when heated and hardens when cooled ■ Can be reused repeatedly *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

PPS products (super engineering plastics) [Technical materials for extrusion molding are currently being provided]

High-performance PPS extruded products! Achieving various specifications to meet customer performance requirements!

"PPS" is a crystalline resin with a simple chemical structure composed of a benzene ring and sulfur. This resin has a high melting point of approximately 280°C, excellent chemical resistance, and exhibits flame-retardant properties without the addition of flame retardants, demonstrating self-extinguishing characteristics. Since around 2010, when the name PPS was not widely recognized, Excel Tokai has been engaged in the extrusion molding of PPS, realizing various possibilities. Leveraging the multilayer molding technology we have developed, we can perform multilayer extrusion molding by layering non-reinforced and reinforced grades within the mold. Please feel free to contact us. 【PPS Features】 ■ Heat resistance allowing continuous use above 200°C ■ High rigidity and strength retention over a wide temperature range ■ Flame retardancy with a UL V-0 rating inherent to the resin ■ Excellent dimensional stability under a wide range of environmental conditions ■ Chemical resistance second only to fluororesins ■ Advanced electrical properties under high temperature, high humidity, and high frequency conditions *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

What is extrusion molding technology? [Technical materials for extrusion molding are currently being provided.]

It is possible to continuously produce items with the same cross-sectional shape! Introducing the mechanism of extrusion molding.

Extrusion molding is a method of continuously shaping resin that has been heated and melted, then cooled and solidified with air or water. While injection molding cools the resin inside a mold, extrusion molding passes the heated and melted resin through a mold from the heating cylinder of the extruder, and then gradually cools it to shape. Because of this method, products with a consistent shape are continuously formed. Raw resin is fed into the extruder, heated and melted, extruded from the mold, and the extruded molten resin is cooled, collected, and cut. These processes allow for the continuous production of items with the same cross-sectional shape. 【Features】 - Heats and melts resin, then cools and solidifies it with air or water for continuous shaping. - Products with a consistent shape are continuously formed. - A consistent production system from design to secondary processing. - Capable of producing products with short lead times, high functionality, and high quality. - Suitable for products with linear shapes and various lengths, as well as products with handles or deep designs. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

SIFL molding system

It is possible to bond soft polyurethane foam while molding resin!

The "SIFL Molding System" is a new manufacturing system for car air conditioning dampers developed jointly by our company and Idemitsu Kosan. The primary feature of this molding technology is its integrated molding of foam, but to function as a mass production technology, it also employs unique techniques in mold structure and molding equipment. Please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries. 【Features】 ■ By applying IPM skin integrated molding technology, it is possible to bond soft polyurethane foam simultaneously with resin molding. ■ The foam and resin are strongly bonded due to the anchor effect, which improves product lifespan. ■ A clean manufacturing method that does not use solvents or adhesive tapes. ■ Due to the low-pressure molding method, foam collapse is extremely minimal. ■ Soft, highly foamed polyurethane foam, which was traditionally difficult to mold integrally, can now be used. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Introduction to the Vacuum Forming Business: Production in a Clean Environment to Prevent Contamination.

TSK's vacuum forming business has the strength to solve the challenges of customers who want to use products produced in a clean environment.

We pride ourselves on providing high quality not only in terms of "product precision" but also from the perspective of "hygiene." In 2021, we built a specialized factory for vacuum forming, producing in a clean environment. Since we also manufacture component trays used in clean rooms, we take the utmost care to prevent cross-contamination (foreign matter intrusion) in all our products. With our high-quality operations that can meet stringent standards for both "product precision" and "hygiene," we are capable of addressing challenges related to production in a clean environment.

Lightweighting and cost reduction through the use of plastics around automotive ECUs [ECM measures].

Currently, metal housings/cases are mainstream for vehicle-mounted ECUs. By changing this to resin, weight reduction and cost savings can be achieved.

In-vehicle ECUs typically use metal cases made of aluminum or copper. While metal shielding ensures robustness and excellent EMC measures, it poses significant challenges in terms of weight and cost. With the electrification of vehicles, the imperative of "how to lighten the body and extend the driving range" is unavoidable, and the demand for lightweight solutions is high. Sekisui Techno Molding's approach enables weight reduction by converting from metal to resin (approximately 45% reduction for the same shape). It also allows for design freedom through resin molding and cost reduction via mass production. While many resin products are inferior to metals in terms of heat dissipation and electromagnetic wave (noise) control, Sekisui Techno Molding's resin products ensure these functions. ■ Thermally conductive resin molded products (focused on heat dissipation) - Reduction of product temperature rise through heat diffusion - Weight reduction, improved design freedom, and mass production by replacing metal products ■ Heat dissipation and electromagnetic wave shielding resin molded products (balancing heat dissipation and electromagnetic wave shielding) - Reduction of product temperature rise through heat diffusion - Electromagnetic wave shielding performance through conductivity - Weight reduction, improved design freedom, and mass production by replacing metal products With Sekisui Techno Molding's comprehensive system, we consistently support our customers from planning and prototype development/verification to mass production and sales to realize their ideals.

An example of a molded product made by blow molding.

Leave the blow-molded products to us.

Because the structure of the mold and the molding method are simple, the time and material costs associated with mold manufacturing can be kept relatively low. For example, in the case of hollow products like containers, if you try to reproduce them with an injection mold, you will need a four-sided mold, but with a blow mold, you only need a two-sided mold. Due to the simple structure, changes in shape and design can also be made relatively inexpensively.
