Characteristics of hard chrome plating: "hardness"

Introducing the important hardness for plating treatment! It has a very high hardness level of Hv800 to 1,000.

"Industrial hard chrome plating" significantly improves wear resistance when applied to machine parts and tools due to its high hardness. Molds have better release properties, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing products, and the lifespan of the molds is greatly extended. Furthermore, the most important factors for wear resistance are hardness and the coefficient of friction. Industrial chrome plating shows values of Vickers hardness between 800 and over 1000, indicating that it is much harder compared to heat-treated steel and nitrided steel. [Examples of Applications] - Cylinders - Rolls - Various molds - Gauges *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Characteristics of hard chrome plating: "Heat resistance"

Hard to chip plating! Introducing the heat resistance of industrial chrome plating.

"Industrial hard chrome plating" significantly improves wear resistance when applied to machine parts and tools due to its high hardness. Mold types benefit from improved release properties, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing products and a substantial increase in mold lifespan. Additionally, while general plating can peel off due to friction or heating, industrial chrome plating is almost alloyed with the material, and even when heated to 600°C in the air, the adhesion of the plating is not affected at all. [Examples of Applications] - Engine parts (can be used in high-temperature oxidation environments below 400°C), etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Characteristics of hard chrome plating: "corrosion resistance"

Active in fields such as chemistry and food industry! Introducing the corrosion resistance of industrial chrome plating.

"Industrial hard chrome plating" significantly improves wear resistance when applied to machine parts and tools due to its high hardness. Molds and dies benefit from improved release properties, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing products and a substantial extension of mold life. Additionally, when industrial chrome plating reaches a thickness of 30μ to 50μ, small pores and cracks that connect to the base material are completely sealed, providing excellent corrosion resistance. [Examples of Applications] - Various tower tanks - Heat exchangers - Valves - Flanges - Pumps *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Electroless nickel plating

Can be hardened up to a maximum of Hv1000 with heat treatment! It does not peel off even when heated to high temperatures.

"Electroless nickel plating" is a product that can increase hardness up to Hv500±50 (with a plating thickness of about 25μm). It is also possible to harden it up to Hv1000 through heat treatment. It provides better adhesion than electroplated nickel and does not peel off even when bent. Additionally, it does not peel off when heated to high temperatures, which helps prevent the formation of scale due to surface oxidation of iron. [Features] ■ Supports dimensions up to 2,200mm wide × 500mm high × 1,400mm deep ■ Corrosion resistance - Corrosion resistance on steel is better than that of electroplated nickel coatings - Contains a few percent of phosphorus, demonstrating excellent corrosion resistance against organic substances, salts, organic solvents, caustic alkalis, and dilute mineral acids - Salt spray test 5μm: 24 hours rating number 10 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Functional chrome plating "KR-MS" High peel strength!

Maintaining the characteristics of chrome plating! A strong ally for operators. Reduced cleaning frequency due to resistance to dirt! Improved fluidity of resin! No restrictions on rolls or T-dies!

The "KR-MS Series" is a surface treatment that seals micro-cracks in chrome plating using inorganic materials. It maintains the characteristics of chrome plating while enhancing the following properties: ■ Stain resistance ■ Cleanability ■ Release properties Experience this advanced surface treatment, which has been adopted over 100 times in the film industry! 【We solve these problems!】 When using mirror rolls: ◎ Cleaning the surface is difficult due to the ultra-mirror finish... ◎ Poor film release due to the ultra-mirror finish... When using T-dies: ◎ Productivity is low due to issues with lip tip residue... ◎ Cleaning T-dies during resin or color changes is challenging... ◎ Corrosion occurs because chlorine-based resins are used... Additionally: ◎ Using Teflon (PTFE) rolls, but they wear out... ◎ Roll surfaces get dirty from ink or oligomers... ◎ Poor film release due to the use of adhesive resins... *For more detailed information, please view the PDF data from "Download." We look forward to your "Inquiry."

Knowledge of plating: Terminology for plating

I will explain the terminology of plating in a column format!

There are references to hard chrome plating and Kanizen plating in your request or the drawings you sent, and occasionally, we receive inquiries from customers about the differences between the hard chrome plating and electroless nickel plating that we handle. To conclude, hard chrome plating = hard chrome plating = industrial chrome plating = HCr = ICr (chrome = chromium) all refer to the same type of plating. Similarly, electroless nickel plating = electroless nickel-phosphorus plating = Kanizen plating are also the same. *For detailed information, you can view it through the related links. Please feel free to contact us for more details.

Knowledge of plating: Uniformity of electroless nickel plating thickness

By continuously reducing nickel ions, the film thickness increases! An explanation of the uniformity of the plating film.

One of the main reasons for the use of electroless nickel plating is the uniformity of the plating film (thickness). Unlike electroplating, where the plating film tends to form more easily in areas with higher current density (corners and edges) due to their shape, electroless nickel plating utilizes the reduction reaction between the plating solution and the substrate (material) to generate a nickel coating uniformly on the surface of the substrate, as it comes into contact (immersion) with the plating solution. The principle is that when the substrate is immersed in the plating solution, the reducing agent, hypophosphite, in the solution is oxidized to phosphite, and during this process, it releases electrons, which reduce the nickel ions in the plating solution and deposit them as a nickel coating on the surface of the substrate. *For detailed content of the column, please refer to the related links. For more information, feel free to contact us.*
