We introduce the causes and countermeasures regarding the factors that affect the discharge volume of the "Takasago quantitative dispensing pump." In the case of bubble formation, gas dissolved in the fluid may change into bubbles, leading to the occurrence of bubbles within the product and the piping, or leaks from fittings and other piping components. This can result in a decrease in discharge volume and poor reproducibility, so it is recommended to degas the fluid used. If the product is left unused for an extended period, the set discharge volume may change, and reproducibility may worsen. It is advisable to drain the fluid from the product for storage when not in operation for a long time. When using soft tubes such as silicone tubes in the piping, the suction and discharge pressure generated by the product may be absorbed by the elasticity of the soft tube. This can negatively impact the discharge volume and reproducibility, so it is recommended to use hard tubes such as fluoropolymer tubes in the piping. Additionally, there are other factors that can affect discharge volume and reproducibility beyond the items mentioned above. AWG notation is widely used to indicate the thickness of conductors. A diameter of 0.46 inches is defined as 0000 AWG or 4/0 AWG, and a diameter of 0.005 inches is defined as 36 AWG. By dividing these sizes in a geometric progression, 40 sizes from 4/0 to 36 AWG are established. Additionally, the cross-sectional area is expressed in mm².
