Notch filter (band-stop filter, rugate filter)

Craftsman's Point: Achieved optical properties with a periodically varying refractive index. Application: Expected applications in notable fields such as Raman spectroscopy.

We will achieve optical characteristics that have not been realized before by periodically changing the refractive index. Conventional optical filters (optical thin films) consist of alternating layers of high-refractive-index and low-refractive-index films, which exhibit specific optical properties. In contrast, notch filters (band-stop filters) are deposition products designed to periodically change the refractive index in the thickness direction. A characteristic feature is that no optically unnecessary ripple occurs outside the stopband. We can achieve optical characteristics that were not possible with previous optical thin film processing. (Do you have such challenges?) ■ Is it possible to reflect only around the wavelength of 532nm? ■ I would like the unnecessary parts to be unable to transmit optically. ■ Notch filter? Band-stop filter? Rugate filter? ■ I have heard that the measurement difficulty after deposition is high; can you accommodate this?

Ultraviolet bandpass filter, substrate: Hisashi Seiko Glass "IHU150"

It is an optical filter that selectively transmits ultraviolet wavelengths (255 nm) while blocking light of other wavelengths (using a substrate from Gohsui Seiko Glass).

Applications in the ultraviolet region are on the rise. At Itsuki Seiko Glass, we have developed filter glass substrates in the IHU series that have a transmission limit wavelength in the ultraviolet range and improved weather resistance to ultraviolet light. Recently, we have successfully deposited dielectric multilayer films to create bandpass filters in the ultraviolet region, as shown in the chart (measured data). (Are you facing these challenges?) ■ I want to transmit only specific wavelengths using aspheric lenses or lens arrays. ■ Is it possible to achieve pinpoint transmission at the UV-C wavelength of 254 nm? ■ Given the limited substrates and deposition materials, is anti-reflective coating feasible? ■ I've heard that measurement difficulty after film deposition is high; can you accommodate this? ■ Is it true that controlling the thickness in the UV region is very challenging due to its thinness? Based on our achievements in visible light, we can achieve high transmission rates in the ultraviolet wavelength range by controlling the deposition process. Additionally, by leveraging our ability to mold aspheric lenses and lens arrays in combination with our deposition technology, we can propose new applications.

660nm bandpass filter (visible light range): FA sensor, laser, etc.

A bandpass filter that achieves sharp rise and high transmittance in the visible light range (660nm). It is ideal for red laser diodes and LED applications.

Are you having trouble with something like this? - Is it possible to only allow a specific wavelength (633nm) to pass through? - I would like to expand the stop band because light other than the desired wavelength becomes noise. - Can you take into account the range of incident angles? - The shape is special; can it be shipped as a component? Optical bandpass filters are used in various optical applications and are essential for selectively extracting light of specific wavelengths. Passband: An optical bandpass filter allows a specific range of wavelengths to pass through. This range of wavelengths is called the passband and is typically defined by the center wavelength and the wavelength bandwidth. Wavelength selectivity: Optical bandpass filters can have very high wavelength selectivity, emphasizing light of specific wavelengths. This is important in many fields where precise wavelength selectivity is required. A 660nm bandpass filter, which selectively allows light in the specific wavelength range of 660nm to pass through, is commonly used in optical applications. This bandpass filter amplifies or allows light within the wavelength range around 660nm while blocking light of other wavelengths.

Cold mirror: A filter that transmits near-infrared light and reflects visible light.

It is possible to efficiently transmit light while removing wavelengths that contribute to heat from the light source. It is ideal for medical lighting devices (such as dental mirrors).

【1】Are you facing any of these issues? ◆ I want to prevent the temperature from rising due to near-infrared light emitted from the light source. ◆ The device itself is getting hot, and I want to do something about it. ◆ Is it possible to reflect visible light while allowing near-infrared (NIR) to pass through? ◆ Can the wavelength range of the mirror be customized? 【2】What is a cold mirror? A cold mirror is a filter that transmits near-infrared light while reflecting visible light. By forming a dielectric multilayer film, it can efficiently transmit thermal radiation without absorption, removing wavelengths that contribute to heat contained in the light source. Additionally, due to the excellent heat resistance and weather resistance of the dielectric multilayer film, it plays a role in stabilizing products that incorporate the filter. Typical applications include liquid crystal projectors, medical lighting fixtures, and dental mirrors that you may have seen on dental chairs. It has the performance of a mirror while featuring a special coating that allows near-infrared wavelengths to pass through to prevent temperature rise in the irradiated area.

Dual-wavelength anti-reflective coating

It is a special anti-reflective coating (AR coat) that can have peaks at multiple wavelengths. It is a filter that can be optimally designed for various optical devices.

【1】Are you facing any of these issues? ◆Is it possible to prevent reflection by matching the wavelength of CDs and DVDs? ◆Is there a way to improve visibility and achieve clear image quality? ◆Can we design and deposit custom solutions? ◆I want to increase light output to contribute to energy savings. ◆Can we design an anti-reflective coating (AR) that considers the angle of incidence? 【2】Features of Adachi New Industry's dual-wavelength AR (anti-reflective coating) 1) It is compatible with two wavelengths for CD (780nm) and DVD (650nm). We also offer custom designs that accommodate both DVD (650nm) and Blu-ray/HD-DVD (405nm). 2) It prevents light reflection from both sides of the substrate (thereby improving transmittance). Because it minimizes light loss, clear images can be obtained even in complex optical systems with long optical paths without degrading the incident light. 3) It can accommodate a variety of substrates, including glass and resin films. However, since our process is batch (sheet-type), the maximum size is □200mm.

Information on standard stock items (optical filters)

Standard stock items include anti-reflective films, bandpass filters (BPF filters), and infrared cut filters (IR cut filters), among others.

We will start selling some optical thin film products (optical filter products) and patterned processing products as "standard stock items." We have responded to such requests! ◆ It's difficult to bear the cost of a whole batch when only a few pieces are needed for experiments... ◆ I want to see product development and performance tests quickly, so I need a few pieces at different levels... ◆ I just want to try it out for now... We often hear such voices through inquiries from our website. Even if custom-made filters are ultimately needed, I believe it is very difficult to define complete filter performance from the beginning.

Infrared reflection prevention film: A filter that efficiently transmits the wavelength range of 9μm.

This is an infrared wavelength filter optimized for optics, with plasma control technology enhanced to its limits.

Infrared materials are incredibly fragile! (Weak against scratches, weak against water, weak against chemicals) This common knowledge can be overturned with our company's technology. 1) Excellent infrared transmission properties This is a filter that transmits infrared light through the formation of a multilayer film, utilizing interference effects to achieve excellent transmission rates from near-infrared to far-infrared regions. 2) Design and customization available for desired wavelength ranges We can design and deposit films tailored to the wavelength ranges requested by our customers. Please inform us of the substrate type and wavelength range when making inquiries, as we will design according to the characteristics of the substrate. 3) Measurement equipment: FT-IR available Rest assured that we will always include a measurement chart (spectral characteristics) upon shipment. 4) Component support available We can not only handle substrate procurement and film deposition but also cut to any desired shape and ship as components. However, we will need detailed drawings. 5) Cleanroom compliance Our work environment maintains the necessary cleanliness levels from film deposition to inspection, ensuring a cleanroom operation. We have a robust system in place to address minute film defects (such as foreign particles in the film).

905nm bandpass filter (near-infrared region): for TOF and LiDAR

This is a bandpass filter that achieves a sharp rise and high transmittance in the infrared range (905nm). It is ideal for TOF sensors and LiDAR.

Are you facing any of these issues? - Is it possible to only transmit specific wavelengths in the infrared range? - I would like a bandpass filter suitable for TOF sensors. - I heard that the wavelength used in LiDAR is 905nm; can you create a film for that? - Since light other than the desired wavelength will cause noise, I would like to widen the stop band. - Given the range of incident angles, can this be taken into account? - Is it possible to mount this on AGVs or OHTs? The 905nm bandpass filter is a filter that transmits specific wavelengths by utilizing light interference through the deposition of dielectric films. Based on our proven results in visible light, we can achieve sharp wavelength separation and high transmission rates in the infrared range (905nm) by controlling the deposition process, making it ideal for photoelectric sensors (such as TOF sensors) that require delicate light. We have standard stock items available, so please consider them. https://www.e-coating.jp/stock/cat/filmtype/bandpassfilter/

Multi-band pass filter (dual band pass filter)

It is a filter designed to transmit light in two specific wavelength bands while blocking (preventing) other wavelength bands. It is ideal for surveillance cameras and similar applications.

1) Are you facing issues like this? ■ I want to pass visible light and part of the infrared wavelength (850nm), is that possible? ■ I definitely want to cut out the blocking range that causes noise. ■ Since there is a range of incident angles, can that be taken into account? ■ The shape is special, but can it be shipped as a part? 2) Dual-band pass filter (multi-band pass filter) This is a filter designed to transmit light in two specific wavelength bands while blocking (stopping) other wavelength bands. In addition to regular IR cut, it has the function to selectively transmit only specific near-infrared wavelengths (such as 850nm, 905nm, 940nm, 1064nm). For example, it is ideal for applications that require monitoring during both day and night by transmitting specific visible light and specific near-infrared light. With 40 years of experience, we have achieved sharp wavelength separation and high transmission rates. Our unique control technology during film formation allows for high durability and reduced shift.

Anti-reflective film (AR) allows more visible light to pass through. [Free initial design]

It is an optical thin-film filter that reduces the reflectance at specific wavelengths and improves transmittance. By increasing the amount of light, it contributes to energy saving and power reduction.

Light reflects at the boundary surface with air, causing 4% reflection on one side and 8% reflection on both sides of the glass, resulting in a reflection of one's own image. An anti-reflective coating (AR = Anti Reflection Coating) is an optical thin film that utilizes the principle of interference by alternately depositing dielectrics with different refractive indices, reducing the reflectance of specific wavelengths and improving transmittance. Are you facing any of these issues? - Want to reduce reflections and ghosting in window materials? - Is there a way to improve visibility and achieve clearer image quality? - Looking to reduce internal reflections and prevent flare? - Want to increase light levels to contribute to energy savings? - Can we design an anti-reflective coating (AR) that takes the angle of incidence into account?

Ultraviolet reflection prevention film (AR) wavelength: efficiently transmits 350~410nm.

It achieves excellent ultraviolet transmission rates and can be adapted to the light sources you plan to use (such as high-pressure mercury lamps, various laser lights, UV LEDs, etc.).

Are you facing any of these issues? - I want to reduce reflection in the ultraviolet (UV-A) range. - I want to increase the transmittance at wavelengths that react with initiators, such as 365nm and 405nm. - I've heard that the UV range has a thin film thickness and is difficult to control... - I've heard that the substrates and film materials are limited; can you accommodate that? - I've heard that the measurement difficulty after film formation is high; can you handle that? ◆ We achieve excellent ultraviolet transmittance! By depositing multilayer dielectric films, we prevent light reflection from both sides of the substrate. Based on our achievements in visible light, we can also achieve high transmittance in the ultraviolet wavelength range by controlling the film formation process. However, the substrates that can be used for film formation are limited, so prior confirmation is necessary. By utilizing the characteristics of the substrates you will use and designing accordingly, we will realize the optimal filter.

It is a dielectric multilayer film filter that transmits visible light and reflects near-infrared light.

It is used as a near-infrared cut filter that adversely affects CCD devices such as video cameras. The optical characteristics, such as the wavelength position with a transmittance of 50%, transmittance, and cut wavelength band, can be set arbitrarily. (Are you facing such challenges?) Is it possible to cut only the wavelength of near-infrared light? I want to allow visible light to pass while blocking IR wavelengths. I want to suppress light that causes noise and increase the sensitivity of the sensor. Can the wavelength range I want to transmit be custom adjusted? Is it possible to process it to chip size?

Sputtering Ion Plating Processing

Sputtering is a physical thin film formation technology (PVD) that allows for the coating of metals and dielectrics on the surfaces of substrates such as glass and plastic.

Sputtering is a new surface treatment technology that applies ion engineering, characterized by the absence of pollution issues like those associated with resin plating, and the ability to plate chromium (Cr), which is difficult with vacuum deposition. It can also plate Cr on various engineering plastics other than ABS resin, marking the dawn of a new era in plastic surface treatment with this new technology. In addition to Cr, almost all metals can be used, and it can produce color tones similar to resin-plated Cr, among many other excellent features. As a result, the range of applications is broad, and sputtering products are expected to be widely used for decorative purposes in automobiles, consumer electronics, audio equipment, cosmetics, and more.
