Added the heat-dissipating gap filler "TIA225GF" to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

Momentive's "TIA225GF" is a two-component addition reaction type liquid silicone material for heat dissipation. The main agent (Component A) and the curing agent (Component B) are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:1 and cured by heating (70°C for 0.5 hours) or at room temperature (23°C for 24 hours). After curing, it becomes a rubber-like elastomer with a thermal conductivity of 2.5 W/(m·K), forming an excellent heat path. This product is a liquid material with excellent thixotropic properties (shape retention), resulting in minimal dripping or smudging after application, making it easy to fill complex-shaped parts and gaps. It ensures stable thermal contact with high followability even on uneven bonding surfaces and narrow gaps, which are difficult to address with conventional thermal interface materials. By containing high-fill fillers, it achieves both high thermal conductivity and electrical insulation, making it suitable for applications requiring high reliability, such as power modules and communication boards.

The best-selling silicone adhesive TSE39×5 series has been added to AD-Chemi!

  • Company news

"When in doubt about what to use, start with this" — The reason why this product continues to be chosen by field engineers In the manufacturing and research and development environments of electrical and electronic devices, there are many situations where silicone-based adhesives and sealants need to be selected. When multiple requirements overlap—such as needing heat resistance, wanting to avoid corrosion on certain metals, needing fast curing, or wanting to keep costs down—searching for a product from scratch each time is a waste of time. Many engineers likely have a trusted go-to product that they use when unsure. For many years, this position has been held by Momentive's TSE39×5 series (TSE3925, TSE3975, TSE3995). We will explain in detail, along with technical backing, why this series continues to be a bestseller in many fields.

Co-creation proposal! Added 'Space × Optical Films' as a technology trend keyword.

  • Company news

Outer space is the most challenging and promising field for optical thin films. Environmental factors that are completely different from those on the ground—vacuum ultraviolet, high-energy particles, extreme thermal cycles, atomic oxygen—simultaneously pose threats to the thin films, while it is precisely these films that maintain the accuracy of sensing, communication, and observation. As the trend of New Space accelerates, the scenarios in which optical thin films influence the competitiveness of space development are increasing. We aspire to be more than just a "coating manufacturer"; we want to be partners who think together from the very beginning of development. It is perfectly fine if the requirements are not yet solidified or if we are still in the preliminary stages of specifications. We hope this can serve as a starting point for dialogue with engineers working on space products. Chapter 01: The Three Barriers that the Space Environment Poses to Optical Thin Films Chapter 02: Main Applications of Space × Optical Thin Films—Where Thin Films Thrive Chapter 03: How to Choose Optical Thin Films—The Trinity of Materials, Design, and Process Chapter 04: Proposal for Co-Creation Steps—"Start Small and Grow Steadily" Summary—Together, Let’s Take on the Challenge of Space with the Power of Thin Films.

Added silicone adhesive and sealant "TSE3975" to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

Momentive's "TSE3975" is a one-component, moisture-curing, low-volatility silicone adhesive. It cures at room temperature by reacting with moisture in the air, forming a silicone rubber that combines flexibility and elasticity. Unlike the paste-type TSE3925 in the same series, TSE3975 is a flowable type. It maintains moderate flowability while being resistant to dripping, allowing for smooth filling and sealing of gaps and narrow spaces with complex shapes. The curing mechanism employs an alkoxy curing method, releasing alcohol-based vapors during the curing process. Unlike acetate types, it is non-corrosive to metals, making it particularly suitable for use in electrical and electronic devices that utilize various metal components such as copper, iron, aluminum, and stainless steel. It also meets the corrosion test of military standard MIL-A-46146B, ensuring reliability for applications that require high trustworthiness. In terms of adhesive performance, it demonstrates excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including metals, various plastics, glass, and ceramics, without the need for a primer.

Added silicone adhesive and sealant "TSE3995" to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

Momentive's "TSE3995" is a non-corrosive, fast-drying one-component silicone adhesive sealant. It is an alcohol-curing type with reduced low-molecular siloxanes, providing stable adhesion to a variety of substrates including metals (including copper), plastics, and glass. A major feature of the TSE3995 series is its "high fluidity due to low viscosity" (with a viscosity of 2.5 Pa·s (2,500 mPa·s), which is very low for RTV silicone). With a viscosity less than 1/100 of that of typical sealants, it naturally penetrates fine gaps and complex shapes, allowing for uniform application in thin films, thus ensuring a sealing layer can be formed in areas that are difficult to reach with conventional sealants. It is less prone to trapping air bubbles and thoroughly reaches the details of substrates and electronic components, making it particularly effective for potting and coating applications. I have added 'Understanding Bandpass Filters in 5 Minutes! A Thorough Explanation' to the technical trend keywords.

  • Company news

"Extract only the desired light" — this is the role of optical components known as band-pass filters (BPF). We will explain the mechanism and selection of BPFs, which are used in various fields such as medical, industrial, and environmental measurement, in an easy-to-understand manner, even without specialized knowledge. Camera sensors, medical fluorescence microscopes, factory appearance inspection devices, environmental measurement sensors — these seemingly completely different devices share a common technical challenge: "accurately extracting only the necessary wavelengths from light that contains countless wavelengths." For example, in fluorescence imaging, it is essential to detect only the weak fluorescence signals amidst strong excitation light. In factory appearance inspection, it is necessary to shut out stray light from daylight and fluorescent lamps to detect only the illumination wavelengths. The optical component responsible for this "light selection" is the band-pass filter (BPF). The name may sound complicated, but once you understand its mechanism, it is based on a very simple principle. We will present the basic concepts of BPFs, manufacturing principles, and points for application selection in a format that can be read in five minutes. Please check our company website for more information.

Added 'Co-creation Proposal! Drone x Optical Thin Film' as a technology trend keyword.

  • Company news

The areas where drones are active are rapidly expanding from surveying, infrastructure inspection, agriculture, logistics, and disaster prevention to defense and security fields in recent years. In addition to the demand for high-precision sensing in the private sector, the requirements for optical systems mounted on drones are becoming increasingly stringent in defense applications such as border surveillance, information gathering, search and rescue, and unmanned operational support. While the miniaturization and weight reduction of the aircraft are progressing, the proposition of "obtaining more precise information in harsher environments" remains unchanged. One key to solving this contradiction is optical thin film technology. Optical thin films, which control the reflection, transmission, and blocking of light at the nanometer level, are a technology that fundamentally enhances the performance of mounted sensors across the visible light, near-infrared, and thermal infrared ranges. We will introduce the role that optical thin films play in drone development from the perspectives of industry, agriculture, and defense. 1. What are optical thin films? — Basic knowledge for drone developers 2. By field: The roles played by optical thin films 3. Featured technology: 8-14μm band infrared AR coating 4. Quick reference table for utilization images by development phase 5. Proposal for co-creation — Let's start together from a prototype For more details, please refer to our company website.

I have added 'How to Choose Momentive's Silicone Defoamer' to the technical trends.

  • Company news

Foam in manufacturing sites is not just a cosmetic issue. - Decreased production efficiency - Filling defects and overflow - Quality variation (pinholes and unevenness) - Sensor false detection can lead to serious problems. Especially in recent automated and smart factory environments, foam significantly affects process stability as "invisible noise." Momentive's silicone defoamers provide high defoaming effectiveness, heat resistance, and chemical stability with minimal addition, and are used across a wide range of fields including food, chemicals, paints, and wastewater. However, what is important is not "which defoamer to use," but "how to choose one." 1. Initial judgment: "Industrial" or "Food grade" 2. Selection logic considering three types for "Industrial" 3. Selection logic considering four types for "Food grade" 4. Common mistakes (applicable to both industrial and food) 5. Proposal value of Adachi New Industries For more details, please check our company website.

"Co-creation proposal! Entertainment/Exhibition × Optical Thin Films" has been added as a technology trend keyword.

  • Product news

The way of presenting in the entertainment sector is changing significantly due to the expansion of expos, immersive exhibitions, and experiential museums. Traditionally, the focus was on enhancing visual and lighting effects, but now the competition lies in "experience design," which revolves around "how visitors feel and how they remember" their experiences. With the proliferation of social media, there is a demand not only for "instant impact" but also for "shareable experiences" and "experiences that make people want to return." In this context, the key to differentiation is the "quality of light." An important role in this is played by optical thin-film technology, which precisely controls the wavelength of light. Optical thin films enable visual experiences that cannot be achieved with conventional lighting or displays by designing transmission, reflection, and absorption at the nanoscale. In the future of entertainment, light is evolving from a mere means of presentation to a design element that constitutes the experience itself. 【1】Exhibitions that change depending on the viewer 【2】Productions with two worlds 【3】Designing the space itself 【4】Next-generation exhibitions that integrate with sensors 【5】Potential applications in the entertainment sector Summary: The option of co-creation For more details, please refer to our company website.

Added ITO/Near Infrared AR Coat to the Aronics sheet.

  • Product news

A technology that simultaneously imparts conductivity and near-infrared optical properties to rigid resin optical components. In recent years, with the proliferation of automotive LiDAR and various infrared sensors, the demand for optical components that achieve both high transmittance and low reflectance in the 905nm band has rapidly increased. Especially in sensing using ToF methods or pulsed lasers, even slight reflection losses or scattering directly affect detection accuracy, making wavelength-specific optical design essential. On the other hand, the cover materials that protect these sensors from external environments require specific characteristics of resin materials, such as mechanical strength, impact resistance, dimensional stability against temperature changes, processability, and suitability for mass production, making the coexistence of optical and mechanical properties a significant design challenge. At Adachi New Industries, we have established a composite thin-film process that combines the acrylic resin material "Alonix Sheet" from Toa Gosei Co., Ltd. with the following. Co-creation proposal! Added 'Agriculture × Optical Films' as a technology trend keyword.

  • Company news

In recent years, technological innovations in the agricultural sector have significantly shifted from traditional biological approaches such as soil improvement and breeding to an engineering concept of "designing the environment itself." Particularly noteworthy is smart agriculture, which integrates precise control of light environments with sensing technology. Plant growth is complexly determined not only by light intensity but also by wavelength distribution, angle of incidence, temporal variations, and interactions with surrounding temperatures. In other words, agriculture can essentially be described as "the science of spectral control." In this context, optical thin films and optical filters play an extremely important role. Optical thin films are functional materials that allow for precise design of reflectivity, transmittance, absorbance, and interference characteristics through control of film thickness on the nanometer scale. By using multilayer interference structures, it is possible to selectively transmit and reflect specific wavelengths, which directly contributes to optimizing effective light for photosynthesis in plants and controlling unwanted infrared and ultraviolet light. I added 'Why? Is foam a problem in factories?' to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

In industrial processes, "foam" is not just a cosmetic issue. It is an invisible trouble factor that directly affects quality, productivity, and equipment stability. For example, the following problems can occur on-site: - Tank overflow: Foam expands above the liquid level, causing loss of the contents and contamination of surrounding equipment. - Pump cavitation: The inclusion of air bubbles reduces pump performance, leading to vibrations, noise, and equipment damage. - Coating unevenness and appearance defects: The presence of foam in coating or painting processes can result in pinholes and craters. - Sensor malfunction: Liquid level sensors and optical sensors detect foam and produce incorrect control signals. - Filter clogging: Foam and fine bubbles accumulate in filters, leading to increased pressure loss and more frequent replacements. These are not isolated troubles; they can lead to larger issues such as reduced yield, equipment downtime, and quality complaints. For more details, please check our company website.

Co-creation proposal! Added 'Medical/Healthcare x Optical Thin Films' as a technology trend keyword.

  • Company news

In the medical and healthcare fields, light has already become an indispensable infrastructure. From endoscopes, fluorescence observation devices, blood analyzers, pulse oximeters, and wearable vital sensors to regenerative medicine and phototherapy devices, optical control technologies such as "wavelength selection," "reflection control," "stray light suppression," and "high-sensitivity detection" are required in every scenario. However, in actual design settings, it cannot be said that there are many cases where equipment manufacturers and optical thin film manufacturers engage in sufficient discussions from the early stages. As a result, filters and mirrors are often "added later" in the optical system's post-processing, leaving room for improvements in S/N ratio, miniaturization, and low power consumption that should have originally been achieved. We will redefine the role of optical thin films in the medical and healthcare fields and explore the possibilities from the perspective of "functional co-creation" rather than just "material supply." 1. The essence of wavelength design in biosensing 2. How reflection and absorption control change the image quality of endoscopes and observation systems 3. Wearable medical devices and angle-dependent design 4. High-durability thin films in phototherapy and sterilization fields The option of co-creation - a proposal from Adachi New Industry Co., Ltd. "Have you considered controlling 'bubbles' with 'process design'?" has been added to AD-Chemi.

  • Product news

The foam generated during the food manufacturing process is not merely a collection of air. It exists as a "structure" stabilized by naturally derived components originally present in the food, such as proteins, polysaccharides, lipids, and surfactants. Therefore, the foam that occurs during food processing does not necessarily disappear naturally over time; rather, it is often maintained or even amplified by processes such as stirring, heating, and circulation. What becomes important here is the approach to defoaming. In food manufacturing settings, it is common to consider the addition of defoaming agents or changes to the product only after foam manifests as issues like filling defects or reduced productivity. However, in reality, much of the amount and stability of foam, as well as its residual behavior, are determined more by the processing conditions than by the defoaming agents used. In other words, defoaming should not be seen as a supplementary measure to be addressed in later stages, but rather as an element that should be incorporated from the design stage of the manufacturing process. ◆ The properties of foam vary significantly by process ◆ Defoaming design considered by industry-specific processes ◆ The design flexibility of silicone defoaming agents ◆ The defoaming approach provided by Adachi New Industry Co., Ltd. We have added 'Co-creation Proposal! Migration Chip for Chemical Manufacturers' to the technology trend keywords.

  • Product news

In the development of coating materials for semiconductors and functional chemicals, the evaluation of resistance to electromigration and ion migration has become an unavoidable and important theme. On the other hand, migration is not a phenomenon that can be simply determined by material properties alone. The differences in insulating films, protective films, and coating materials interact with wiring materials and current conditions in ways such as hygroscopicity, ion residue, barrier properties, dielectric characteristics, film thickness, film density, and interfacial adhesion, ultimately manifesting as wiring degradation or insulation breakdown. However, in actual evaluation settings: ◆ The wiring structure and material conditions differ with each evaluation. ◆ The effects of materials and structural factors cannot be separated. ◆ Reproducibility and comparability of evaluation results are difficult to achieve. Co-creation proposal! Added 'Fan activities × Optical Thin Films' as a technical trend keyword.

  • Product news

Merchandise for fans has evolved primarily through the combination of "design" and "materials." The beauty of illustrations, printing techniques, and the choice of materials such as acrylic, metal, and fabric have significantly enhanced the appeal of these products. However, the impression we get when we see merchandise is not solely influenced by design and materials. The feelings we experience, such as "beautiful," "eye-catching," or "photogenic," are greatly affected by how light reflects, transmits, and disperses. For example, have you ever had the experience of seeing the room's lighting reflected when displaying an acrylic stand? Or when taking a photo with your smartphone, noticing a flare (a whitish blur) on your favorite character's face, or seeing colors that look different from their true hues? This is not necessarily due to poor design or printing, but rather because the behavior of light has not been adequately controlled. ◆ Merchandise for fans is moving to the next phase of evolution ◆ Merchandise for fans can be transformed significantly with "light" ◆ Proposal: Merchandise for fans that "selects only the favorite" using bandpass filters ◆ Co-creation proposal: Shall we shape the next standard with Adachi New Industry?

We have added the heat transfer oil compound "TIG830SP" to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

Momentive's "TIG830SP" is a thermally conductive silicone oil compound. Compared to conventional oil compounds, it has less oil separation, contributing to high reliability. It also exhibits excellent thermal conductivity over a wide temperature range. *What is a thermally conductive silicone oil compound?* It is a grease-like composite material that is highly filled with thermally conductive fillers (typically metal oxides) based on silicone oil, used to enhance the heat dissipation efficiency of electronic components and heating elements. It is ideal for thermal design of electronic components that require both heat dissipation and insulation. Proper application amount and film thickness management are crucial for thermally conductive silicone oil compounds; too much will be extruded, while too little will increase thermal resistance. The application surface must be degreased to prevent poor adhesion. Caution is needed around optical components and contact areas due to the possibility of oil bleeding and volatility at high temperatures. Since it does not cure, it can easily shift due to vibration, making measures against misalignment, such as using frames or pads, effective. Additionally, it may swell some resins and rubbers, so prior evaluation is essential. For more details, please check our website.

The heat dissipation gap filler "TIA251GF-J" has been added to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

The Momentive product "TIA251GF-J" is a two-component liquid silicone gap filler designed for heat dissipation and insulation sealing of electrical and electronic components. By mixing component (A) and component (B) in a 1:1 ratio and curing at room temperature or with heat, it hardens into a rubbery or gel-like state, adhering to various substrates. After curing, it exhibits excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, and weather resistance, demonstrating stable heat dissipation and electrical insulation over a wide temperature range. Features: - Excellent thermal conductivity, suitable for heat dissipation applications. - Easy-to-use two-component system with a mixing ratio of 1:1 (weight ratio). - Conforms to three-dimensional shapes. - Remains soft and gel-like after curing, protecting components from various stresses. - Equivalent to UL94 V-0. *What is a gap filler? A silicone gap filler is a thermally conductive material that fills the gaps between components to efficiently dissipate heat generated inside electronic devices. Based on silicone, it is soft and easily deformable, allowing it to adhere firmly to uneven components such as heat sinks, substrates, and power devices. This prevents insulation due to air layers and significantly reduces thermal resistance. For more details, please visit our website.

Added 'Types of Heat Dissipation Silicone and Selection Points' to AD-Chemi.

  • Company news

Despite using the same thermal conductive silicone, - Evaluation results are unstable - It performed well in prototypes, but there is performance variation in mass production Such troubles are actually not uncommon. Many of the causes are due to storage and handling conditions rather than "material quality." Thermal conductive silicone is not just a "bonding and coating material," but a functional material precisely designed to meet design specifications. In other words, it is a material that only exhibits catalog performance when used correctly. ■ Thermal Conductive Silicone is a "Functional Material" Thermal conductive silicone is not just a paste-like material; it is a high-performance material designed as a composite material. Its performance is established not by a single component but by a precise balance of multiple elements. The main components are as follows.

"Understanding in 5 Minutes! A Thorough Explanation of the Differences Between Metal Mirrors and Dielectric Mirrors!" has been added to the technical trend keywords.

  • Company news

Modern advanced technology relies on precisely manipulating parameters such as the wavelength, direction, and intensity of light. At the center of this light control is the optical mirror. The basic function of an optical mirror is to reflect incident light in a specific direction with high efficiency, but it goes beyond being just a reflective surface. Depending on the application, advanced optical performance is required, such as "which wavelengths to reflect or transmit," "how much reflectivity to achieve," and "how accurately to focus and form images." - The role and importance of optical mirrors - The two main types of mirrors: metallic mirrors and dielectric mirrors - Metallic mirrors: basics and characteristics of reflection - Dielectric mirrors: technologies that achieve high reflectivity - Comparison table: contrast between metallic mirrors and dielectric mirrors - Specific examples of differentiation based on applications - Summary and outlook: the importance of technology selection and contributions to industry For more details, please visit our company website.

I have added 'Understanding Cutoff and Cut-On in 5 Minutes!' to the technical trend keywords.

  • Company news

Optical filters are important devices used to extract only the necessary wavelengths from light or to block unnecessary wavelengths. They are utilized in a wide range of fields, from cameras and displays that we commonly see, to spectroscopic analysis devices used in medical and bio fields, as well as in industrial applications such as laser processing and optical communication. Light encompasses a broad wavelength range, including ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light; if the desired light cannot be precisely controlled, it can lead to issues such as false detection, increased noise, and decreased image quality. This is where the concepts of "cut-on" and "cut-off" come into play. These concepts indicate the boundary where light begins to transmit and the boundary where transmission ends, forming the foundation of optical filter design. 1. Definition and Basic Principles of Cut-On and Cut-Off The most important parameters for correctly designing and evaluating optical filters are the "cut-on wavelength" and "cut-off wavelength." These are not just names; they are reference values that numerically define the effective performance of the filter, specifically which wavelength ranges are transmitted and which ranges are blocked. 2. Technical Points of Design and Control For more details, please visit our company website.

Added heat-dissipating silicone adhesive "TIA0330" to AD-Chemi.

  • Product news

Momentive's "TIA0330" is a non-corrosive, fast-drying, heat-dissipating one-component room temperature curing silicone adhesive with reduced low molecular siloxanes. It reacts with moisture (water) in the air to cure into a rubber-like elastomer that excels in heat resistance, cold resistance, electrical insulation, weather resistance, and water resistance. It requires no mixing or heating, significantly simplifying the process from application to curing. Its semi-fluidity makes it suitable for automatic dispensing and it has excellent conformability to complex shapes. It is ideal for a wide range of electronic devices where heat dissipation is critical, such as automotive ECUs, inverters, communication base stations, and servers/PCs. At Adachi New Industries, we provide consistent technical support from material selection based on application to optimization of application conditions and prototype follow-up. If you have concerns regarding heat dissipation design or adhesive challenges, please feel free to consult us. *About the corrosion mechanism of general silicones Corrosion of copper-based metals by silicone occurs when moisture-curing silicones react with water vapor in the air, releasing by-products such as acetic acid and alcohol. When these components come into contact with the copper surface, they undergo a chemical reaction, forming copper oxide and corrosive compounds. Corrosion accelerates, especially in energized environments or high humidity, leading to poor conductivity and contact degradation.
