[Production Example] Hose Bending Robot

Using a robot equipped with a mecha chuck! Proposing product uniformity through the use of a dedicated fixture with a clamp.

We would like to introduce a case where we developed a "hose bending robot" that bends a resin hose after heating it and following a mold. The customer faced challenges as they were bending hoses manually, resulting in inconsistent product quality. Additionally, the hoses needed to be heated to 200°C to make bending easier, but this was difficult to achieve by hand. In response, we developed this product. A robot equipped with a mechanical chuck is used to grip high-temperature workpieces. 【Case Overview】 <Customer's Challenges> - Bending hoses manually leads to inconsistent product quality. - It is necessary to heat the hoses to 200°C for easier bending, but this is difficult to do by hand. <Our Proposal> - Use a robot equipped with a mechanical chuck to grip high-temperature workpieces. - Propose the use of a dedicated fixture with clamps to ensure product uniformity. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Explanation of the driving method and collaboration of AMR AGVs.

A detailed explanation of the differences between AGV and AMR, which are surprisingly not well known, covering aspects such as driving methods and collaboration!

The biggest difference between AGVs and AMRs is their mode of operation. AGV stands for Automated Guided Vehicle, and as the name suggests, it refers to unmanned transport vehicles that determine their route using guiding materials such as magnetic tape. On the other hand, AMR, or Autonomous Mobile Robot, does not require guiding materials. It obtains its position from information gathered by sensors and travels according to its objectives. Our company's 'SiBOT' adopts a SLAM method that estimates its position using lasers, allowing it to automatically calculate the route to its destination and autonomously move there! Additionally, unlike AGVs that follow guides, AMRs can detect and avoid obstacles while traveling. This means that even if there are people or goods in the same area, they can reach their destination while avoiding collisions, demonstrating excellent collaboration with humans. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us by mentioning "Ipros."
