Free membership registrationWith the latest advancements in FPGA technology and the release of large-scale FPGA devices, design teams are facing more challenges than ever in creating high-quality HDL code. To save time during functional verification and implementation stages, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure design quality from the early stages of the design process. In the ASIC design flow, Lint tools (also known as design rule checkers) guarantee design quality in the early stages of the design lifecycle and maintain this quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Free membership registrationThe mismatch problem between simulation and logic synthesis can lead to malfunctions in physical devices. Even if it is functionally perfect in RTL simulation, there may be significant design bugs in the physical implementation. RTL linting is the only way to identify and fix the mismatch issues between simulation and logic synthesis. This paper presents typical mismatch problems from simulation to logic synthesis with simple examples. For each described issue, it will be confirmed and explained through lint checks.

Free membership registrationDeep learning algorithms are gaining popularity in IoT applications at the edge due to their human-level accuracy in object recognition and classification. As a subset of machine learning, deep learning algorithms are inspired by the neural networks of the human brain, and by extending the concept of biological neural networks into machine learning, they effectively solve learning problems that were previously impossible. This document provides a detailed introduction to how Deep Neural Networks (DNN) operate and why FPGAs are becoming popular for DNN inference. Additionally, it includes the tools necessary to design and implement deep learning-based applications using FPGAs on Aldec's TySOM-3A-ZU19EG embedded development board, which features the largest FPGA from the Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC family. Free membership registration"ALINT-PRO" is a verification solution that analyzes RTL code written in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog, focusing on coding styles and naming conventions, mismatches between RTL and synthesis results, smooth and optimal synthesis, correct FSM descriptions, issues in the later stages of design, problems with clock and reset trees, CDC, RDC, DFT, and coding for portability and reuse. This solution performs static analysis based on RTL and SDC (Synopsys Design Constraints) source files, identifying critical design issues early in the design phase and significantly contributing to the reduction of design time. By running ALINT-PRO before RTL simulation and logic synthesis, you can prevent design issues from propagating to downstream processes in the design flow, thereby reducing the number of revisions needed before design completion. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
