Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case of settlement correction implemented at a warehouse located in Fukushima Prefecture. Due to the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in 2011, gradual settlement progressed over the years, leading to the onset of floor sagging and tilting inside the warehouse. Inclination also developed in the areas where racks were installed. This caused issues such as the forklift forks not fitting properly, resulting in "longer loading and unloading times," which disrupted operations and caused difficulties. For this construction project, we adopted the Upcon method, which allows for construction without moving heavy racks within a short construction period. We were able to correct an area of approximately 1250m2 in just 4 days (with a maximum settlement amount of approximately 78mm). 【Case Overview】 ■ Construction Area: Approximately 1250m2 ■ Maximum Settlement Amount: 78mm ■ Location: Warehouse in Fukushima Prefecture ■ Construction Period: 4 days *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe Upcon method, which allows for modifications without breaking existing concrete pavement slabs and within a short construction period, has been widely adopted in public works such as roads and airports as a maintenance and repair method. This time, we will introduce a construction site for correcting the sinking of concrete pavement slabs and filling voids at a quay in a port. The quay at Soma Port in Fukushima Prefecture, where cargo loading and unloading occurs frequently, has experienced issues due to ground subsidence, resulting in steps and sinking in the concrete pavement slabs, eliminating the water slope and causing puddles. This has hindered cargo operations. The Upcon method was chosen because it has no environmental impact compared to other methods and can correct the existing slabs without removal in a short period. [Site Information] Soma Port Port Maintenance and Management Work (Quay Restoration) Construction Area: Approximately 285 square meters Maximum Subsidence: 97mm Construction Period: 4 days For detailed information on the construction process, please refer to the PDF download below.

The "Upcon Method" solves problems caused by floor tilting and sagging due to earthquakes or ground subsidence, as well as voids and gaps that have formed beneath the floor, using polyurethane resin for quick repairs. 【What is the Upcon Method?】 Small holes with a diameter of 16mm are drilled into the existing concrete floor where subsidence has occurred. While continuously monitoring the level in millimeter increments, polyurethane resin is injected. The resin injected beneath the floor expands under pressure in a short time, compacting and strengthening the ground, improving bearing capacity, and pushing the concrete back to a level position. The final strength of the resin is achieved in about 60 minutes. Even if voids have formed beneath the floor, the same method is used to fill those voids. Since the existing concrete floor is repaired without demolition, the construction period is significantly reduced compared to conventional methods. The polyurethane can lift the floor with a foaming pressure of up to 10 tons per square meter, eliminating the need to move heavy equipment or materials. The deformation of the floor is corrected without stopping the production line.

Free membership registration□ Store fixtures and product racks are tilted □ Shopping carts move on their own □ Luggage and products are not stacked straight □ Gaps are forming in the floor, walls, and ceiling □ Cracks are appearing in the floor The issues caused by floor subsidence, tilting, and unevenness will be resolved by "Subsidance Correction Specialist Upcon." With the Upcon method, polyurethane resin is injected under the existing concrete floor, and the pressure from the foaming strengthens the ground and lifts the floor. In principle, there is no need to demolish the existing floor, and there is no need to move heavy product racks or store fixtures, significantly shortening the construction period compared to conventional methods. Additionally, we can accommodate construction limited to nighttime outside of business hours, allowing us to correct floor subsidence without stopping operations.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case of floor vibration suppression work carried out at the T Printing Company factory located in Miyagi Prefecture. In a factory where a machine weighing approximately 26 tons is placed, the floor began to vibrate after the earthquake. To confirm the situation before the installation of the machine, core drilling was performed at several locations. As a result, it was confirmed that there was a gap of up to approximately 180mm beneath the concrete. By carrying out gap filling work, we were able to restore the original performance of the concrete floor and suppress the floor vibrations. Additionally, we also conducted floor subsidence correction work at a factory of T Industry located in Miyagi Prefecture. 【Case Study】 <Floor Vibration Suppression Work at T Printing Company Factory in Miyagi Prefecture> ■ Construction: (Phase 1) July 2011, (Phase 2) October 2011 ■ Maximum Gap Size: Approximately 180mm ■ Total Construction Area: Approximately 160m2 ■ Actual Working Days: 1.5 days *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of floor sinking correction work and subfloor void filling work carried out at a bag manufacturing factory located in Miyagi Prefecture. The neatly arranged bag-making machines were tilted due to floor sinking, which hindered production. As a temporary measure, legs (for height adjustment) were installed under the machines to level them, allowing work to continue. Consequently, we received a request for correction from the company, as we can quickly make adjustments without removing the machines, and we proceeded with the work. In addition to the floor sinking, voids were also observed under the floor, so we carried out the filling work as well. [Case Study] ■ Construction Area: Approximately 730m² ■ Maximum Sinking Amount: Approximately 110mm ■ Construction Period: 3 days *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
