"Mitarepo" is a series that introduces what can be done using various products with the concept of "I tried doing this!" From the wide range of product genres handled by System Create, we deliver useful information each time. In Vol. 66, we investigated how thick acrylic can be cut using the low-cost CO2 laser cutter "Cut-Key"! The laser cutter "Cut-Key 900N" for acrylic processing that we handle. It has gained attention for being able to be introduced at a low price while having a high output of 130W. We receive inquiries about questions such as, "What thickness can it cut?" and "What does the cut surface look like?" Therefore, this time we prepared acrylic sheets of various thicknesses to check the maximum thickness of acrylic that can be cut and what the cut surface will look like. This report introduces the "quenching samples" produced with the laser processing machine LBM10, which was exhibited at "JIMTOF2014W" held at Tokyo Big Sight recently. For the quenching samples, we selected "S50C," which is commonly used for quenching. The report also includes suitable processing conditions for production.
