Company C, a parts processing manufacturer, automated the plasma arc welding process to reduce labor. The system configuration involves moving the workpiece using a servo motor and performing the welding operation when it reaches the designated position. In the automation process, position detection sensors and proximity sensors were installed, and safety measures were implemented simultaneously. Since there are multiple parts to be welded, the control system was pre-programmed, allowing for changes in control patterns for each target during operation.
