The "Quadro" ultrasonic blade for food cutting, utilizing Duquesne's patented technology, allows for cutting widths of up to 600mm with a single horn, unlike traditional ultrasonic food cutters that use a horn (blade) in a different manner. Additionally, conventional ultrasonic blades have a thicker upper part of the blade, which imposes a height limitation on what can be cut. When attempting to cut taller ingredients, a one-wavelength horn (as opposed to the half-wavelength of a standard horn) had to be used. However, because the Quadro blade maintains a consistent thickness, there are no height limitations for cutting, significantly expanding the range of compatible ingredients.

Free membership registrationDuquesne's patented Quadro(TM) technology is a new evolution of ultrasonic sealing technology. It achieves high speed, high precision, and complete sealing, meeting today's high-level packaging needs. Unlike the plunging action of conventional ultrasonic sealing systems, the innovative scrub motion of the Quadro(TM) horn accurately directs the molten material to the seal line, resulting in stronger and smoother seals. It eliminates pinholes and material overflow that occur with standard ultrasonic horns, achieving excellent airtight seals that extend shelf life. With box motion, sealing can be done at 100 bags per minute, and with rotary motion, up to 1000 bags per minute. By combining with rotary ultrasonic sealing units for fin seals (vertical seals), ultra-fast packaging processes become possible, significantly enhancing productivity.

Free membership registrationThe new basic model series P220/P215 from Duquesne offers options equipped with features such as time control, energy control, peak power control, as well as distance control functions for welding distance and welding end position control. The load trigger mechanism has also been upgraded to a specification that detects actual load using high-end load cells, and even the standard model has transitioned from the traditional analog volume adjustment to a digital method using numerical input from the oscillator, improving reproducibility during step changes. The data output function, which was not supported in the previous i220 series, is now available through the use of the iQ-Explorer3 software. Additionally, when used in automatic machines, there is an iQLinQ communication function option that allows for complete control and monitoring from the device's PLC. Previously, external PLCs could only switch the welding conditions saved in the oscillator, but with iQLinQ, it is now possible to rewrite each parameter, significantly enhancing the compatibility between automatic machines and ultrasonic welding machines. Models are available for all frequencies of 15/20/30/35/40 kHz, allowing customers to choose the specifications that best suit their products.

Free membership registrationIn packaging machinery, sealers typically use heat sealing, but adopting ultrasonic sealing offers various advantages: - No consumables - Production can start immediately after power is turned on - Lower power consumption compared to heat sealing - No warm-up time required - Generally, sealing time is less than 0.5 seconds - High sealing strength - High-precision sealing control with high-speed digital-controlled ultrasonic vibrations - Sealing is possible even with foreign substances present in the sealing area - The required sealing area is smaller, allowing for reduced material consumption - Less thermal damage to contents due to the absence of high-temperature heat sources - Maintenance can be performed immediately after equipment shutdown, reducing downtime To maximize these advantages, Duquesne offers a dedicated unit for horizontal sealing in packaging. By directly holding the nodal (vibration node) part of the horn, high mechanical rigidity is achieved, enabling stable sealing even at high cycles. When used with the iQ-AiM oscillator equipped with patented output trigger technology, even higher quality stability can be obtained.

Free membership registrationDukane-Aurizon's rotary ultrasonic sealing technology can bond elastic threads, such as those used in diapers, without the use of adhesives, at high processing speeds of up to 600m/min. By eliminating the need for consumable adhesives, it not only reduces manufacturing costs but also ensures a chemical-free process, making it more hygienic. Additionally, the absence of adhesive curing allows the softness of the material itself to be maintained. Furthermore, only the non-woven fabric around the elastic thread is bonded using ultrasound, so the elasticity of the thread itself does not change.

Free membership registrationDukein's hybrid welding machine: The TH3 series can switch between hot plate welding, infrared welding, and hot gas welding using a single device. You can choose the appropriate method for the product being welded; for example, "Product A is made of natural PP, so it is produced using hot plate welding, Product B is made of PA+GF30, so it is produced using infrared welding, and Product C contains electronic components, so it is produced using hot gas." Hot gas welding is a patented technology from Dukein KVT (Germany) that sprays high-temperature inert gas only onto the welding area, melting it without contact, which prevents oxidation of the welding area and achieves high welding strength. Infrared welding also uses short-wavelength infrared quartz heaters for non-contact heating, enabling clean welding without particle generation. Hot plate welding is the most widely used welding method and can achieve the fastest cycle times when using natural materials.

Free membership registrationAt Duquesne, we developed a high-frequency vibration welding machine that increases the number of vibrations with a smaller amplitude to reduce the burrs generated during vibration welding. While the frequency of typical vibration welding machines ranges from 200-240Hz, our high-frequency model vibrates at a frequency of 295-350Hz, allowing us to reduce the conventional amplitude from 0.5-1.8mm to 0.3-1.1mm. This change enables us to decrease both the quantity and size of particles generated. The table drive utilizes the latest servo control technology, similar to the standard VW6700, featuring synchronized dual servo motors for table drive control. This results in high-speed table movement, high positional accuracy, and excellent reproducibility.

Free membership registration■Patent-Acquired Multi-Point Ultrasonic Oscillation Control Unit■ The Duquesne MPC unit was developed to control multiple ultrasonic vibration units with a single oscillator. The MPC unit, utilizing U.S. patent technology (#7,225,965), allows for individual oscillation control of multiple vibration units by switching them from the device PLC in combination with Duquesne's unique external control feature, iQ-LinQ. Unlike conventional technology, where ultrasonic oscillators and transducers had to be one-to-one, the use of the MPC unit enables multiple welding and riveting at different locations with a single oscillator. ■Up to 16 Transducers Can Be Connected■ A single MPC unit can connect up to 16 transducers, allowing for multi-point riveting and multi-point spot welding on large parts. This significantly reduces costs by decreasing the number of oscillators required for such equipment.

Free membership registrationThe communication module "iQLinQ," developed for the Duquesne iQ series probe oscillator, allows for direct control and monitoring of the ultrasonic oscillator from a PLC when used in combination with an automatic machine. The cumbersome wiring task of connecting each conventional I/O signal to terminals is completed simply by connecting one cable to a connector. This eliminates the hassle of wiring work and wiring errors, significantly reducing the engineering costs involved. Additionally, all welding control settings, data monitoring, limit settings, and confirmation of judgment results can be performed from the PLC, allowing the ultrasonic oscillator to be fully integrated and used as part of the automatic machine. In traditional methods, an analog unit was required for amplitude control and oscillation output signals, but using "iQLinQ" eliminates the need for these analog units. This new era communication unit completely disrupts the conventional control methods for ultrasonic oscillators in automatic machines, further enhancing the combination of the automatic machine and ultrasonic oscillator, and greatly contributing to the overall functionality of the equipment.
