Packaging testing services

In packaging tests, we evaluate how much packaged goods can withstand impacts from drops, vibrations, and compression that occur during transportation. Japan Business Logistics (hereinafter referred to as JBL) has a well-balanced array of various packaging test facilities, including drop tests, vibration tests, compression tests, and environmental tests (temperature and humidity, decompression tests, high and low temperature combined tests), and also conducts test evaluations based on official testing standards such as JIS, ISO, ASTM, ISTA, IEC, and MIL.

JIS Z 0200 Packaging of Goods - General Principles for Performance Testing Methods

Based on the content of ISO 4180, this is a testing method for evaluating the packaging of packaged goods against vibrations, drop impacts, and compression during the distribution process.

The document consists of two parts: the main body and the annexes. The main body is created based on ISO 4180, with technical content modified to reflect Japan's unique circumstances, while Annexes A and B are presented without changes to the content of ISO 4180: 2009. ISO 4180 Evaluation Test Method General Principles

Medical Device Packaging 'Integrity Testing Service'

Due to the change from the Medical Device Directive (MDD) to the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), packaging validation has become a clear requirement in ISO 11607:2019. As a result of this change, integrity testing of sterile barrier systems must be conducted after performance testing of the packaging system and after stability testing. Additionally, devices shipped in a sterile state must guarantee that they are in a sterile condition when they reach the market and must maintain sterility under the transportation and storage conditions specified by the manufacturer until they are opened at the time of use, unless the packaging is damaged. ASTM F1929 Dye Penetration Test

The dye penetration test specified in ASTM F1929 can be conducted.

ASTM D5265 Bridge Impact Test

Overview of JIS P8131: - This standard specifies the bursting strength test method for paper, board, liners, and cardboard using a Mullen high-pressure testing machine, with a bursting strength of 350 kPa (3.57 kgf/cm²) or more and 5500 kPa (56.1 kgf/cm²) or less. - Additionally, this standard may be applied to paper and board used for strong bursting strength materials like cardboard, specifically those with a bursting strength of 250 kPa or more and less than 350 kPa. - The testing method involves fixing the test specimen to a clamping plate and applying pressure by expanding a rubber diaphragm placed underneath at a constant speed using hydraulic pressure, measuring the maximum pressure at which the test specimen bursts.
