We received a request to conduct a test for reading the vehicle body model label of a certain automobile manufacturer and recording it in CSV, as well as inspecting the reading of the nameplate engraving. At that time, achieving high accuracy in reading was a challenging task. We devised a method to separate letters and numbers for inspection. 【Inspection Settings and Results】 Using EasyInpector's "BAR/QR/OCR" function, we performed readings for two types of labels. For the first type, we set up 38 inspection frames for reading the label text and successfully read over 50 characters in 4.74 seconds. The second type was the text on the nameplate, for which we also set up 23 inspection frames and made a judgment in 4.65 seconds. This project has contributed to the system's version upgrade. Currently, it is easier to set up as "OCR Pro Inspection" in EasyInpector, allowing for more accurate readings.

When measuring the number of circuit boards handled by an electronic component manufacturer while they are stacked with interleaving paper, we aimed to reduce the time spent on manual work and eliminate measurement errors by incorporating image recognition. 【Inspection Setup and Results】 To measure 52 circuit boards, we read images using EI-Scan, improved the image accuracy, and utilized the "Luminance Change Inspection" feature of EasyInspector. First, we conducted verification with the interleaving paper pattern, and by neatly aligning the gray interleaving paper with the brown circuit boards, we were able to accurately count the number of boards. Next, we also verified the pattern without interleaving paper, and since shadows were created between each board, we were able to count them accurately as well. I considered whether this confirmation could be done using image recognition software. [Inspection Settings and Inspection Results] There are six holes within the field of view, and among them, four holes have silver screws, while two holes have black screws, which is the criteria for passing. Therefore, for the areas with silver screws, we use EasyInspector's "Color Comparison Inspection" feature to compare with the "Master Image" to check whether there is a silver screw in the designated inspection frame. For the areas with black screws, we used the "Presence of Specified Color Inspection" in the "Color Comparison Inspection." The area without a screw appears as a clean circle in black (background), while when a screw is present, it takes on a triangular shape, allowing us to inspect how many pixels of black are in the inspection frame. By setting passing criteria for each inspection frame, we were able to recognize the four silver screws and the two black screws.

In a pachinko parts manufacturer, when installing pachinko frames, the color of the screws may be changed depending on the product.
