The CBEZ-Standard is a dedicated board for connecting coin mechanisms and bill validators to a PC. The interface with the upper control device is a serial type using RS-232C or USB, allowing it to be used without limiting the operating system. Additionally, the adoption of a simple command method enables secure programming, reducing development time. By incorporating isolation circuits and DC/DC converters, common mode noise generated within the housing is reduced, further enhancing reliability. Control can now be achieved with a single DC24V power supply, eliminating the need for a separate DC8V power supply for coin mechanisms and bill validators. It is compatible with coin mechanisms and bill validators from various manufacturers. The CBEZ-Standard handles complex and troublesome processes, such as the number of banknotes inserted based on change conditions, all at once. Main control does not require consideration of complex processes like the startup control and timing of coin mechanisms and bill validators; their status can be checked using polling commands.
Commercially available 32-bit compatible PCI cards can be easily used with Compact PCI.
