Optical force sensors, while large and expensive in their configuration, can achieve high-sensitivity force measurements. However, conventional measurement devices face challenges such as a narrow measurement range, leading to a reduction in measurement range and a decrease in measurement accuracy. The present invention enables the provision of a high-precision load measurement device that can expand the measurement range. This invention includes an elongated beam member with a load section at one end, a support member, and a displacement sensor. The load section consists of a needle-like tip fixed to protrude vertically from the surface of one of the plate-like legs, and the displacement sensor can measure the displacement in the direction of the load section's protrusion. Since the load section does not undergo rotational motion relative to the object being measured, the arrangement of the displacement sensor relative to the load section allows for a wide measurement range to be maintained. Furthermore, this invention can further expand the measurement range and allows for flexible adjustment of the measurement range, enabling more precise measurements.

What can be done to shorten processing time... The reduction of processing time has been and will continue to be a challenge. In the processing field, there is a daily battle against time. In the past, after processing with a machine, the workpiece would be measured with instruments like microscopes, and if any corrections were needed, it would be set back on the machine for reprocessing... This repetition was the norm. While it is true that processing takes time, there are many instances where setting up takes a significant amount of time, especially for complex shapes or tight tolerances, which require even more effort in setting the workpiece. This is an introduction to a special measuring instrument that allows for easy and accurate measurement of C-surface measurement methods, chamfer measurement methods, and mouth diameter measurement methods.

This is a chamfer measuring device using a Mitutoyo digital indicator. We received a request from a customer to conduct inspections of the mouth diameter in numerical form, and after consulting with Mitutoyo, we devised this measuring instrument. It can be manufactured in a variety of configurations tailored to the customer's inspection objects, including desired angles and sizes. In addition to C-face measurement, chamfer measurement, and mouth diameter measurement, it can also measure hole diameters and inner diameters all with this one device. Customers using this device have highly praised it, noting that it allows for easy numerical inspections on the work site, significantly reducing the time compared to traditional measuring instruments and increasing production speed. Currently, this product is displayed at the Mitutoyo Osaka Sales Office showroom.
