Clara Online and Pactera Technology Japan (Pactera) have begun a business partnership to provide a cloud-based integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system aimed at small and medium-sized retail and manufacturing businesses. The two companies announced this on September 21. Pactera, which supports the implementation of the ERP system "Odoo" primarily in the retail and manufacturing sectors, offers a SaaS-type service that includes hosting capabilities with Odoo, as well as a private service built on an IaaS foundation. Among the requirements for the IT infrastructure that underpins Odoo are unique monitoring items and special response flows specific to customers, as well as the need for 24/7 support in certain situations.
